1. We consistently come up with good schemes on defense. Arnett watched the tape and obviously decided to make A&M's Scud Missile behind center beat us.. and he couldn't.

2. It takes moxie to throw it 59 times in that environment and complete 80% with no picks. Noodle Arm has it.

3. For a team that recruits about 15 spots higher than us.. our DL made their OL look like crap.

4. It's worth mentioning again... best group of pass catchers we've ever had. If you want to play WR in the SEC.. I have to think you are considering our system.

5. After the onside kick attempt when the whole stadium (probably even Jimbo) knew we needed to run the ball to burn the clock and pick up one first down.. we ran the ball down their throat twice and sealed the game.

6. I consumed the entire game old school.. over radio. Neil Price is excellent. Like.. I'd put him up against anybody - excellent. Wyatt is no slouch either.

Absolutely, I can understand being impatient but I don't know how low your football IQ has to be to not see constant improvement in this team or think Will can't play QB.

Bonus vibe..

We are 7-7 all time against aTm.

They run their checkbook awful reckless for a program that don't go heeled.

I’ve been doubtful of Rogers’ ability to be the long term starter for the next 2 years, happy to see him perform well in that tough road environment.

Whenever I’m home for a game, I now always sync up the Bluetooth TV speaker with the Tunein MSU WFCA broadcast. I’m not anti-ESPN, it’s just so much better listening to announcers that are knowledgeable about the State roster, instead of ones that spent a day or two researching the teams. Same for Saints games.

Will Rogers certainly redeemed himself Sat night. He also took the opportunity to call out MSU fans as well which, while I don't advise him doing it, I can hardly blame him for doing so given how he has been treated by many our so-called fans. It is a crying shame that it was so bad that he felt like he needed to call fans out in what should have been a completely positive moment.

Incidentally, I know this will never stop, but fans giving pejorative nicknames to their own players on public forums is just terrible. It is also self-destructive behavior. Head coaches who are being paid millions I can perhaps tolerate that at some level but not players and especially players who are staying out of trouble and giving us their best effort. If you want to use those names go ahead and scream em at you TV or mutter them under your breath at the game but for the love of mike stop posting them where God and everybody can read them.

This defense is scrappy as hell. Even when they are at a size disadvantage up front they challenge the blockers and create a lot of disruption. Rogers had a great game indeed, it’s a shame that we have so called fans publicly taking crap to players on social media. Neil Price is a true pro, he’s really good at relaying the action in real time. His voice is a bit shrill when he gets excited but I can deal with that.

How someone could take the time to come up with a list like this and not mention the O-line is beyond me. They played a great game.

Amen on the name calling. Childish and counterproductive. Unless the posters on here who consistently do so are actually children, there is no excuse.

Will Rogers protects the football. As a young QB he will continue to improve. This offense has its struggles but we can pull out tight games like this by controlling the clock and not turning it over and that is what Will is good at.

I think most would have taken 3-2 after the first 5 games and here we are. We definitely got here in unusual fashion, but I feel like this is going to be the norm with Leach. Feel great about our chances to go to a bowl game and you can't totally rule out our ability to finish 7-5 or 8-4. 9-3 feels like it will require a ton of breaks that we just typically don't get, but there is not a team on our schedule after Bama that I am afraid of. We can beat Kentucky and Ole Miss in our house, and we can go to Arkansas and Auburn and have a legit chance to win.

100% correct on Neil Price and Matt Wyatt, so much more enjoyable to listen to the games with those guys.

I really want to keep the bowl streak alive (even if it’s Birmingham or Liberty) and this win puts us back on track. Now just need to win one of the two tossup games (Kentucky and OM) or steal one more as a slight road underdog.

Allow me to rain on the parade - I'm a little disappointed in our running game. I know our quantitative results are skewed because of a lack of attempts, but we're 118 (out of 130) in yards per attempt. NC State and A&M held us to 1.5 and 1.8 yards per attempt, respectively.

Those figures are too low considering we've got two talented backs, a solid OL and we've been respectable through the air.

Always gonna be an issue bc we dont emphasize it so we dont focus on run blocking. 2018 Wazzu was 3.6 per carry. That would be a distant 11th in the sec with 10th at 4.46. And its why we will always fight ourselves inside the 5 until we get a little more creative. Rogers could walk in backwards on a read option look.

Rogers' sack yardage is probably skewing things too with so few rushing attempts. He's at -6 yards on the season across 19 'attempts'. Our RBs are at 5.1 and 3.6 YPC, respectively.

Hard to believe we can't scheme up some jet sweeps or wildcat formations for Tulu to get some carries.

8-7 all time and 6-5 post WW2... Actually 6-5 since the 2000 Independence Bowl. I have been texting all the Aggies I know when they will formally recognize the tradition of losing to Mississippi State.

3 sacks for 5 yards lost Saturday. Plus a couple of times our RB got stuffed at the goal line and the 1 time he scored. That's about half our rushing attempts right there with no net yards to show for them.

Looks like we have lost 53 yds on sacks this year. Thats not really that far off from most. OM has lost 60. Arkansas 51. Bama 46. Just as some examples. Also sacks being counted as rushing yards is so dumb.

I can't be too mad that our low YPC games were our top 25 wins.

Especially since most of our passes to RBs are glorified rush attempts anyway.

Receiving against A&M, Johnson was 6 for 27 and Marks was 7 for 40.

Receiving against NCState, Johnson was 6 for 70 and Marks was 7 for 28.

With NIL, the millions may be shifting. Just sayin'.
