Pitchers must now face 3 batters, get injured or finish their half of the inning before being removed from the game. This is being done to speed up the game. Thoughts? I think there are better ways to speed up the game.
I don't like this rule, it's too easy to abuse by faking an "injury".
I'd like to see technology embraced to replace the use of signs. If done correctly, it would speed up the game and would make it harder for a team to do what the Astros did.
Love it. Ban the shift next. 2 infielders on either side of 2nd base when the ball is pitched and feet must be on the dirt.
while we're at it move the mound back to 61'

Out of genuine curiosity, what's wrong with shifting the defense?
Baseball has become a strikeout/homerun-or-bust game and that's a big part of the problem.
banning the shift would do wonders for balls in play. People are all or nothing for HR's now in no small part because of shifts.

Ball in play time: Rough estimate. 300 pitches at 1 second per pitch (very high estimate). 10 hits @ 10 seconds each. 400 seconds, less than 7 minutes.Football fans screaming baseball games take too long crack me up. Takes about 3 hours to play baseball game, same for football. In a football game you get about 16 minutes of action in 3 hours.
