I would definitely throw a cupcake or two game in if I were one of the top Ivy's. You can't replicate a first game in practice or a scrimmage. Penn St having had one or two under their belt before Princeton is a huge advantage.
Duke was lucky to get in…then gets lucky to be in the easiest bracket. Richmond is a far cry from Princeton, ND, and UNC.I didn't see ND but Syracuse was fortunate to get by Yale. That Yale team is one to watch in the future. They have a ton of young talent. It was only a scrimmage but we ran them off the field. They clearly got much better as the season went on.
Duke may ironically be the last Acc team standing when it's all said and done.
Ive never used the word amazing. If it was we’d be playing in the stadium the lax alum has his name on.Is the PSU support directly from their athletic dept? In the past you have said the RU MLAX alumni support is next level
please quantify what PSU has that RU does not. In the past you said Hobbs was amazing and his support of lax was amazing. You’ve said the same of Keli. For those of us not in the loop,,specifically, what does RU need and use $$$ figures
Will we be getting the support that you’ll be outlining?
also that social media highlight offense lit it up and midget #22 had a hat trick. What does Cuse have that RU does not to explain their success?

Sarah has one booster who does all of the heavy lifting. Certainly they have institutional support but I wouldn’t count on that continuing at any major level. Their football program needs to be funded and Acc payouts are woeful. They need money wherever they can get it. Best thing they have going is their history and attendance. Though that wanes when not winning. What does Syracuse have? Both public and institutional support that Rutgers does not have along with a storied history. They put 10-15,000 in the Dome regularly for home game, sometimes more with the right opponents. And more money into the program. Add to that a storied history over the last 40 years that sells itself. And they can go even further back to the days of Jim Brown.
That is less about performance. Very few people in that program, alums, players, boosters, liked him. He had no allies.Lars Tiffany has been fired by Virginia. He has won two national titles and three ACC Championships including this year, illustrating how far off we are from top tier programs in terms of expectations.

I guess it wasn't a bogus rumor after all...Off-topic, but many on the Virginia lacrosse board think their coach, Lars Tiffany, either resigned or not been renewed. Nothing confirmed by any poster.
I'd be surprised if true; it makes sense for nobody...
Next morning: sorry posting this. It's now seeming like it was just a bogus rumor. I try never to post "gossip" but I think I failed this time.
He has an easygoing "kumbyah" personality that one doesn't see much in the uber-competitive athletic world. Not everybody liked that, there or anywhere. That is less about performance. Very few people in that program, alums, players, boosters, liked him. He had no allies.
Speaking of ACC-B1G-BIgEast schools, how many of them are fully funding how many scholarships? It's another MIL to fund up to 40. Is that now coming from the general athletic budget that's already underwater and with revenue sharing blowing an additional 20 MIL hole in it?
Now if 40 guys are getting full rides, what's the next step? NIL on top of that? Are #4 and #23 at Penn State getting NIL? If so, how much and from whom? Different stories are told about the NIL clearing house and what, if any affect it's having on NIL deals and specifically on non-rev sports.
500K per year and we have a consistent top 10 program, with the added schollys???? asking Cali-mdk02-Family
I would have to think every parent will be discussing $$/NIL on the sidelines of the top travel clubs in a few weeks. Those are relatively small groups. I would think this info is fairly known?
Supposedly Mitchell OC from Princeton top of listThey will probably go after Dan Chemotti but Sean Kirwan would also be a good choice.
I'm asking in general, not necessarily RU specially. Just trying to understand how high the hill is to climb to be on the same playing field financially as Georgetown-UVA-PennState etcNot privy to any inside information on Rutgers.
It’s not a huge hill at all. IDK any teams that are giving full schollies across the roster. Some doing 30 meaning top recruits may get full and rest get divided to cover the 48+ on rosters. NIL is grossly overstated. Most schools still aren’t paying NIL including some of the top 10. The UNC kids aren’t getting anything close to what’s been reported.I'm asking in general, not necessarily RU specially. Just trying to understand how high the hill is to climb to be on the same playing field financially as Georgetown-UVA-PennState etc
Pretty high. Going from 12.6 scholarships to 30 overnight isn't easy. That's what we are competing with in our conference, not to mention NIL. We've lost players specifically to Penn St. because of NIL. It was tough watching that play out on the field. Keli is attacking that though so while we won't be at the high end, Brian and staff will be able to bring a knife to the fight instead of their bare hands. It was refreshing to hear her speak directly about this when she addressed the alumni/boosters at the alumni game. She's on it. It's going to take more than just her, but she understands the landscape. As mentioned, OSU's starting 10 last year had a combined $1MM in NIL.I'm asking in general, not necessarily RU specially. He didn't think that one through lolYeah you would think they would go for Madalon before Mitchell.
NIL market is exploding. That $500k number isn’t close now.Speaking of ACC-B1G-BIgEast schools, how many of them are fully funding how many scholarships? It's another MIL to fund up to 40. Princeton MLAX is practicing now, so I guess they are still in the tourney!NIL market is exploding. That $500k number isn’t close now.
Yea they are in the FF. I thought they were the best team all year. Not changing that thought now.Princeton MLAX is practicing now, so I guess they are still in the tourney!
How do you think the final four will go?
