indiana and tennessee both wear themI like the Checkerboards. I’m glad we don’t have the vertical striped
warm-ups like Indiana. I’m trying to picture them in KY blue and don’t like what my mind is showing me.

I think we all feel the same.As long as we have a season to watch this coming year, they could wear Halloween costumes and I wouldn’t care.

On the uniforms. Just throw them in either the 1993, 1997 or 2005 unis and call it a day. Simple.
Yeah, we prefer the traditional ones over the newfangled ones. The more traditional, the better IMO. I really liked the 1997 ones. I also liked the 1996 denim ones as well. The wife, not so much. [laughing]Agree I liked the more classic understated ones best ones best. I miss the old trunks from 78 with the u and the k interlocked...

When the uniforms actually score a point for us, somebody wake me up.![]()

Pretty sure Stoll Field had checkerboard end zones before UT had them.Copying UTs checkerboards was only a marginally better decision.

I think UK went back to checkerboard after Secretariat won the Triple Crown, somehow claiming the prized horse....even though Big Red was from Virginia.
The uniforms don't bother me either....I just hope Haarms ends up in one and we're back playing by Fall.
Thanks Poe!Stoll Field, the stadium prior to Commonwealth, sported checkerboard end zones during the 1930 season. While Commonwealth Stadium never used the checkerboard patterns, the University of Kentucky originated the checkerboard look, not the University of Tennessee.
