Care to elaborateThe baseball team is a sick joke. With the head coach being a total dick to players.

No. He doesn’t. Almost zero chance he does.Let me rephrase for you..If he continues to drag his feet on the NIL he has to go
Yawn.Yeah him hiring Joker and Gillespie was real top notch. He was basically forced to hire Calipari.
That's your opinion..I have mine..good dayNo. He doesn’t. Almost zero chance he does.
I think his bosses might laugh at that thought. That's your opinion..I have mine..good day
PS he can get onboard or Cal will fire him
Try to unbutton that top button on your polo… you might like it. I’m through responding to you. The old saying “you can’t argue with stupid” applies to you and everyone else on the board knows it. Have a good night.
Mitch is doing exactly what he should do. Early on, this could turn into a three ring circus. Best to be above all that. Go slow, figure it out, play by the rules. Would be stupid to get hung over some crazy infraction to gain a year possibly losing many more.
Cal is his bossI think his bosses might laugh at that thought.
Ok, so you have no clue. That’s Forest dumb.Cal is his boss
Well, you know, some people believe change in one aspect of a system affects other parts of the system, sometimes in unpredictable ways. Others are pretty much clueless.Lol the first opinion I've seen since Mitch talked on the subject that liked what he said. And zero surprise it's you. I don't believe some of you are real
And this matters why?I can’t deny the success the athletics program as a whole has enjoyed the last 15 years. University of Kentucky is one of the premier athletics programs in the nation. Barnhart has played an important role in that fact. Ultimately, is that maybe what’s the deciding factor here?
His connection to the fans, however, is horrendous. He is stubborn, overly conservative, and dismissive. It is absolute ******** how dismissive he can be. I don’t connect with him. I know this is not an uncommon feeling in some shape or form.
Because it is a discussion about the most influential man in our athletics program, and I’m expressing concern about his future? Not sure where the confusion is here. And this matters why?
back on ignore you go..Cal haterOk, so you have no clue. That’s Forest dumb.
And I am saying Barnhart bosses are thrilled with him. I doubt they will ask you. You proceed from a false assumption. You think his comment was make in a vacuum? I doubt he spoke without being aligned with his management.Because it is a discussion about the most influential man in our athletics program, and I’m expressing concern about his future? I’m not confident Barnhart is the right man in this new world of college athletics. Please, point me in the direction where this concern is better expressed.
Me? Laugh!!!!
Has Mitch actually done something with NIL that has harmed UK or players?
Ok but what does that mean and how is Mitch not being proactive? If you're not proactive with this NIL you're standing in the way of UK competing with other schools
Ineligible based on what and what restrictions are you referring to?I’d say this whole NIL is up in the air considering the Supreme Court just gave a scathing review of the NCAA. I could see the NCAA ruling a player ineligible only to have another challenge at the Supreme Court. Not sure why any AD would put too many restrictions in right now when the Supreme Court is making it most likely open season. Will be interesting to see if MB puts out any restrictions…

Check the long thread on the baseball board. You will understand how bad a coach and person he is. But, Barnhart likes him. So he still around and will be.Care to elaborate
Yeah, his bosses are thrilled with him. So some of the stupid stuff he has done they are OK with. Good to know that 'the bosses' concern for CERTAIN programs align with Barnhart, so that makes it right and perfect for the sports program as a whole. Right, we get it.And I am saying Barnhart bosses are thrilled with him. I doubt they will ask you. You proceed from a false assumption. You think his comment was make in a vacuum? Mitch took a decades-old logo and turned it into 2 birds screwing. The knock on him has never been that he doesn’t embrace change. What he does do is zig hard whenever he should zag. And that’s what he’s doing here. The man has no AD instincts at all. Even Cal is only “his basketball coach” because other people twisted his arm after he blew off looking at Cal the first time.Everyone seems to know something that he had done to hinder this. So what is it? What has Mitch done that isn't "with the new way" or embracing change?? Surly people aren't complaining blindly without a reason.
His basketball coach is out front of this leading the charge so he sure hasn't hurt him, or held him back. I haven't read enough on Stoops approach to comment on it but I haven't read of any restrictions.

Why should he? Got it made. Can fall short in some programs without any pressure to have to fix it.Whine all you want. He ain't going no where.
I guess you can be butt hurt if you want. He’s one of the best AD’s around. I suppose it’s like the butt hurt cal haters. They are funny and irrelevant too.Why should he? Got it made. Can fall short in some programs without any pressure to have to fix it.
Makes no sense since they have already said they are deferring to state law. They have almost no control over money now. If state law allows for recruiting incentives, they can't even control that. I dont think you'll ever see a player ruled ineligible over money again. If the NCAA puts some kind of restrictions on how much players can make. Like you can’t make say over $100,000 or ineligible. The Supreme Court could come back and say they can make unlimited so who knows…
Does Mitch have a choice? Didn't the governor say that compensating players for their likeness is the new policy or is it left up to each school? Why should he? Got it made. Can fall short in some programs without any pressure to have to fix it.
From what I read Mitch is doing the right thing. He's the overall manager of a department with 100's of employees and dozens on sports teams. He has assigned a point person for NIL. Our head coaches shouldn't be spending large blocks of time on it either. I have no idea what else you think Mitch should be doing. At any rate, he has not demonstrated any effort to impede NIL. NIL will be controlled by players and agents. Schools and coaches should worry about their primary responsibilities, building teams and preparing them to win as well as making sure the department runs smoothly and within both NCAA and state/federal laws. NIL will take care of itself.Chin said recently Cal spends 14 hrs a day thinking about NIL. 14 maybe the wrong amount but something like that. Basing on what Mitch said and how he said it does it seem he's spending much time if any on NIL. Similar thing have been said about Stoops and how he's looking into everything dealing with NIL. Our two coaches look/seem proactive. You can see the differences
Cal and Stoops seem to embrace how much of a weapon this NIL will be, especially at UK. Mitch is acting like Mitch. Timid. Exactly how I was afraid he would act
I genuinely believe Cal and Stoops are spending so much time with it because they know this isn’t Mitch’s strength. Coach’s are foaming at the mouth because this starts on Thursday. I have no doubt Mitch is not impeding it (legally, he can’t), but I also think he’s taking the slow, conservative approach. While that is a good approach with some things, I also think this is one of those times that you can’t be lagging. With that said, I’m not worried at all that we will be on top of it. We have great leaders as coaches who have their athletes as their #1 priority and we have a great compliance office. From what I read Mitch is doing the right thing.
