How many meetings did you sit in on to come to this conclusion?

None.
Just looking at the results from the last decade of how many kids left the program that had no business leaving. And Cal himself has been quoted as saying he NEVER tries to talk a kid into staying.
I take that to include kids that should be staying.

When people tell you who they are, unless I know them personally to be different from what they announce publicly, I take their word for it.

You can go ahead and pencil Mintz in on next years team. If you pay very close attention to the announcement and wording, it's plain as day his plan is to get feedback and return for next year with hopes of making an NBA roster in 2022 vs settling for overseas or the Gleague now.

I don’t think that we can conclude that Mintz is definitely coming back. To me, his announcement reads as if it was carefully worded to avoid committing one way or the other. I think he isn’t sure what he wants to do, but I guess that’s better than him announcing that he hired an agent and definitely won’t come back.

The only thing that would alter the outcome is if a team were to offer him a 2-way deal or something. I'ts highly unlikely.
