In real life, I can be quite sarcastic myself. And can catch the subtle nuances in others. On here? I'm Sheldon Cooper. The old one, not the young.
well phil was negative, and then started being nice but in a sarcastic way. Some people you can notice others aren't as obvious haha. 6-2. Kentucky is up. I never watch baseball but its not as bad as I thought.

Doing it on instagram IS the basic formal announcement these days.

Pope had better land him. This is the most important player he’s ever recruited.
Every player that Pope gets involved with (that any other team actually wants) seems to be "the most important player he's ever recruited". That's what happens when you miss so much.

There is no reason to be expecting any such thing. There is three years of film, he is a good player and elite shooter but he is pretty far from Larry Legend as a complete player. You are talking conservatively a top 10 all time guy and a crazy level passer.
Jesus dude. Chill out a little. I was just having a little fun. I swear this place has gone straight to shiit lately. I know exactly what everyone else in the world knows about his game. No one in the world thinks he’s going to be Larry fing Bird.

I'll never forget being at church camp at 10 years old and it was the first time I had unlimited soda at my disposal. While the boys were finishing up swimming all 40+ girls had congregated outside the pool fence. I had to piss so bad I jumped out the pool and soon as I got through the wooden fence I pissed like a fire hydrant going off. All of a sudden I hear girls screaming. I had not looked up or I'd of seen all these girls 15 feet from me. Some screamed, some cried, some stared and some prayed lol. It's literally my most hilariously embarrassing memory from childhood. I think I may have even splashed urine on some of them lol. But damnit I had to go. And I finished and shook it off and ran back into the pool.
Awesome story my friend.

the iu troll has spoken. negative until here recently. i give you props for being positive at all. lol
IU? Why is that the college you're linking me to? You must have early onset dementia or something. I am generally positive over my entire posting career here. In every game thread just about.

I'm hoping they are waiting to announce after baseball game..
That does sound like a Mitch rule ("Kentucky Basketball shall not ruffle the feathers of any other program on campus"). If we've truly got him then he might decide to let them announce it right now to distract from this disgusting collapse.

To some extent, there’s an element of these things in any system, but without a “set play”, the need for proficiency in each of those categories is amplified in the continuity offense Pope uses.

This is why not everyone can run it. When it’s run correctly, it is extremely difficult to defend against.
Can’t wait for it to run correctly, for once.

I think the first Pope team ran it great. They just didn’t have the athletes to exploit more backdoors and cuts from it. I’d expect this year’s team to run it great also.
I’ll give you it was better than the second year. Popes problem is if the offense isn’t clicking, we are getting smoked. I still can’t understand how someone who played for Pitino can’t coach a lick of defense.

2025 was a top 10 offense in KenPom, kind of insane considering the roster situation and the injury problems.

2026 was abysmal.

I think the difference in 2025 and 2026 can be summed up by having the right personnel for your offense versus trying to just make it work.

Defense is a different story.
You are probably right. I may be being a tad too harsh. I just want us to win it all or not even make it. Something has to give.
