Just guessing there are a few kids that left Scott Frost and company to follow him that wish they could get a do over

This is why 99% of coaches don't bad mouth each other...Because they know they will always take care of each other.

what do folks think of the XFL's extra point conversion rules?

The one-point conversion will have the ball placed at the two-yard line, the two-point conversion will have the ball placed at the five-yard line and the three-point conversion will have the ball placed at the 10-yard line.

I remember this one guy in college. He had flunked out of school and just kind of hung around us and would go to the bars, etc. Every few months, he was leaving town and we would have a 'Gary's last night' drunkfest at his favorite bar. Thirty years later, I imagine he's still working that one. He had nothing else going for him.

I think the name mike Riley should be permanently banned, the blackest days in modern Nebraska Football history

Remember how hard so many of the dorks tried to convince themselves (and others) that Riley was really this amazing hire?

"He does more with less" (Turns out he does less with more)
"He is a QB guru" (Nope)
"He seems to pull off a huge upset each season" (Yes, he does, because his teams are always underdogs because they suck)
"He is so well respected" (Newsflash, other coaches and media guys rarely **** on people...The people covering the sport are not Howard ******* Stern)
"Just wait until he has a real weight room and not just a Bowflex" (Yeah...he never made his guys use the weight room)

Unfortunately it’s been permanently etched in my memory

Another gig with a team that will go out of business fast. I think he signs up to these things because he figures it's only a temporary job and maybe he can collect a paycheck while getting to smooze with some old football coaches for a bit.

If he was serious about a new job, he'd accept a lower level college gig that would likely last a couple of years or so before he got fired again.

One final last last last ride.

I actually like the guy MORE because I know realize that he is not this super nice amazing man...he is just a pretty regular guy that pretty much keeps doing what is best for him and his family.
I think when Riley made that "one final ride" comment he planned on staying at Nebraska until he retired. But because he got fired before he was ready to retire from coaching then that particular comment of his holds no weight?

Like you ever believed he was this "super nice amazing man", LOL.

Once they shut that league down we should bring him back like we got doc back. Say what you want about his record on the field, but he did buy the entire team Kendrick Lamar tickets. I'm sure he misses the embassy suites
