Sorry.... I just don't think there's any way the referees let Duke lose. They will give K the storybook ending.

I think Arkansas has an advantage there. Duke isn't deep and I thought they were wearing down towards the end. Arkansas could run and pressure them and they may tire out by the end.
If Arkansas plays at the pace they played against Gonzaga, they can win.

Gonzaga loves uptempo and they got sped up. Duke isn't use to playing at break neck speed and they don't have the consistent Guards that Gonzaga does. Banchero is also at his best in the half court playing under control. Speed them up, make it sloppy. Duke will get caught up in the pace and their guards will start jacking bad shots which keeps Banchero and their bigs from having as much of an impact and taking advantage of the size advantage. Dukes bigs have also showed vulnerability to conditioning at times.

You can go ahead and accept that Duke will play UNC in the Final Four (the match that ESPN has dreamt of for decades) and then probably play Villanova or Kansas in the final.

At this point, you almost have to root for Kansas to advance because that bottom bracket that Duke will face in the Final Four sucks. So Duke will would play Villanova, Houston, or Kansas for the championship.

Duke isn't losing.

You know what concerns me more than the possibility of them winning it this year under K? Them winning it next year under Scheyer. I'm certainly not saying that will happen and I don't expect it to. But damn, if they were to even make a Final Four next year, we'll be stuck with Duke being Duke for quite some time.

One thing at a time, go Hogs!
I hear ya …. but I’m in a bad spot. I will never pull for Arkansas.

i was pulling for arkansas to beat gonzaga. I’ve grown to dislike gonzaga as well. They get the free est 1 seed because of a broken system annually now and the apologists/fans of theirs telling us how much better they are than any team in the country because of that broken system.

I’m already tired of it.

And if it’s unc or ucla in the final four i would be pulling for arkansas again if they made it. Kansas in the final vs arkansas? same.

And unlike other sec programs i actually have some respect for the arkansas fan base. They have some history and they have the next strongest fan base in the sec. Despite the fact they’ve been irrelevant for nearly 30 years. It’s not like the auburn fans that pretend like they’ve been there all along when really most of them didn’t know their basketball program existed until 3 or 4 seasons ago.

there are only 10 teams left and out of those 10 there’s 4 still standing that i really don’t want to win it. honestly kansas of those is the lesser of all evils at this point. i’ve conceded that once they pass us in wins we are not catching them again under Cal. i don’t even care if they get vacated wins either. that’s not how i want to retake the wins lead. But cal is going to keep flipping the roster and keep throwing games early in the season because the roster is “young”.

God i’m ready for a change.

I was thinking about this. Jay Wright has basically either lost in the 2nd round or won the whole damn thing for more than a decade now.
Villanova is a tough team and very hard to beat late in tourney. Think their PG actually was on that 2018 title team.

I like Villanova or Houston to beat Kansas in the final 4.

I saw a foul called in he first half last night and the Duke player was NOT even touched at all. It’s over folks. Duke for
The NC.
I watched the And one from Banchero and the defender whiffed trying to grab the ball and hit air but it was a foul.

He should have just let him go. Give the refs anything and they will exploit it.

And stop trying to take charges. Just setting yourself up for failure.

Purdue can beat them, as can Houston. Actually several teams could.
You are saying the wrong things. Ruining the mojo. Duke is the best team I've ever seen and they have no challengers. See, that's how a jinx works.

Seems like CBS or TBS would dream that since they broadcast the tourney.

The fix is in and has been all year.

An opponent will need to beat them by 30 to win by 2.

Well I surely don't want UCLA to extend their number of titles and the same goes for UNC, currently with 6. Duke is tied with IU at 5, so with Kansas and 'Nova at three, that would be the most tolerable if Arkansas or Purdue can't go all the way. Maybe St. Peters can go all the way...

The worst thing about Duke winning it all this year is that it lends some credibility to the conspiracy theory that college basketball is rigged.

Because it is. Gamblers know it that’s why the money poured in for them even when Duke couldn’t beat ****** NIT teams just 2 weeks ago lol

The tournament is only half over for Duke, and it has been the easy half. The top seeds and the teams that were good enough to beat top seeds are still in.

ANYONE who is left can beat them.

At this point, I'm a fan of anyone on this side of the bracket that will keep them out of the FF and Final.

So tomorrow I'm a huge fan of the ball-hogging Notae.

If that fails, I'll be a fan of whomever faces Puke next.

When it will get hard is if they make it to the final game and it's KU or something atrocious.

Maybe we just all become Houston fans for the next 10 days!
If they make the final four, then the tournament is over for me . I haven’t watched any of their games so far and I’m not watching the final four if they are in it . Even the other semifinal game , too close to the love fest. I refuse to participate in the coach k farewell tour.
