That might not be the right word, but it’s clear that Duke has upped their level trying to pull off one more ring for the rat.

Have to tip my cap to their ability to make clutch plays down the stretch last night. Then they get just enough help from the refs to push them over the top.

Looks like they aren’t just going to lose…someone is going to have to BEAT them. That’s why I hate to see the shotmaking teams (Zags, Zona) bow out early.

Might be holding my nose, but I’m a Hog fan for about 36 hours.

Who else has the firepower to flush the dukies? Purdue, maybe. UCLA, but do we really want that? UNC again? Puke. Kansas? Puke again. Seems like it would be too easy to cheat Houston and nobody would care.

Guess we need a rock fight, refs swallow their whistles, and another Notae circus act tomorrow.

You know what concerns me more than the possibility of them winning it this year under K? Them winning it next year under Scheyer. I'm certainly not saying that will happen and I don't expect it to. But damn, if they were to even make a Final Four next year, we'll be stuck with Duke being Duke for quite some time.

One thing at a time, go Hogs!

It’s crazy how little this even bothers me anymore. Having an AAU program and coach has really taken the wind out of my sails. Watching Duke last night it was insane what it looked like having a competent X and Os coach. I hope to be excited about UKs again one day but I’ll have to be won back that’s for sure

Nike gonna make sure Duke keeps being Duke. They will keep getting the players, and that’s what it takes.

At this point, I'm a fan of anyone on this side of the bracket that will keep them out of the FF and Final.

So tomorrow I'm a huge fan of the ball-hogging Notae.

If that fails, I'll be a fan of whomever faces Puke next.

When it will get hard is if they make it to the final game and it's KU or something atrocious.

Maybe we just all become Houston fans for the next 10 days!

I rarely watch Basketball if UK isn't playing. But I have been watching this tournament. It's just not Duke, there are several programs as good or better than ours is right now. I've seen at least 10 teams with better guard play than we have. Teams that are way more athletic, and of course, teams that are better coached. If we wouldn't have got Oscar, we probably win 15 games

I was at the games at Chase Center last night.
Buddy scored some tickets at mid court about 10 rows up. Both games were crazy.
I was so impressed with Arkansas and how those dudes fly around the court.
Even with Notae going 9/29 they seemed in control a good part of the game.

The hogs have a few dudes to rotate on Griffin and Paolo. I think it will 💯 come down to Notae and his shot selection.

For Duke, it was impressive as they really don’t have much of a bench and I thought TT was wearing them down. But that didn’t happen as Duke made their last 7 or 8 shots of the game.

After watching Arkansas beat Gonzaga I think they might be the best team left to beat Duke.

Cmon Hogs!!!!!

I’ve seen that thing, if we didn’t have Oscar. What’s that prove really? We lost Ty, Wheeler, still we won. How many teams in America do you think could cough up the POY and not be affected by that? It’s just a fluff observation. If we didn’t have air, we’d suffocate.

I think Arkansas has an advantage there. Duke isn't deep and I thought they were wearing down towards the end. Arkansas could run and pressure them and they may tire out by the end.

The only thing that’s stopping Duke is the refs. With all of the money going in on them now, that might just happen tomorrow!

I know a lot of people don’t want to accept that Vegas controls a lot of these high profile games, but they ain’t losing a ton of money to kiss K’s ***! Look no further than the can’t lose Zion super team. Also, the same happened to UK in 2015 and 2017. In 2010, the refs didn’t have to take over because UK couldn’t buy a basket.

If Duke wins, good for them. Many people on here are wishing failure for other programs just so to cover up the stench of Calipari’s recent failures. I don’t care if Duke, UNC, UCLA, or Villanova win. I just want UK to move on from Calipari. I hoping one of the teams above actually wins it. It will put pressure on Mitch and Cal to do something. Calipari cares more about getting players drafted than winning titles. He thinks he is very successful because of this. I’m not watching the tournament in panic. I’m actually looking forward to seeing the possibility of Kansas passing UK in wins, or one of the blue bloods gaining on UK in titles, or anything that will open the eyes of the Cal cultist and make his seat a little hotter.

Ah but they did take over in 2010. Slapped our best shooter and toughest perimeter defender, Eric Bledsoe, with 2 fouls in the first 8 minutes. That was Jamie Luckie.

Possible. Texas Tech certainly pushed Duke to the wall. Arkansas has the dudes to run on them and wear them out. Will be important to disrupt Duke’s below average guards, keep the ball away from Banchero. If they can do that they have a good chance. Hogs have a deeper bench and that could be the difference.

I honestly don't care all that much. Of course I don't want them to win it, but UK has such problems right now, that I can't even get into this tournament.

I need to feel confident about UK basketball, I do not at ll right now.

Notae is going to have to hit daggers.

Lowering his shoulder and rolling into the defender will be a foul on him tomorrow, not on his opponent.

I will repeat for the 100th time: Bo Ryan was celebrated for beating Kentucky with John Higgins’ help, but no one was listening to his accurate whining about the officials late Monday night after Duke hoisted what should have been Kentucky’s trophy.

Thirty-six hours from now, Arkansas will realize they were a useful tool in a broader plot, and no one will listen to their complaints.

They still have to get through a red hot Arkansas team and potentially a Tall Purdue team that can match their size. It's not a done deal. Let's not forget that two weeks ago they got blown out by UNC and Virginia tech. Whoo sooey or however you say it.

Houston's players just looked huge - like a team full of NBA guys. I don't know if it was the camera angle or what, but it was obvious to me how big they were.
I have thought for a few seasons now how small and timid UK players have looked, exception Oscar. I look at team s like Houston with awe. They are built to win. Has to do in how you recruit. Cal gets talent but ot winning players, with exception, who can be tough on defense.

I am absolutely pulling for Purdue to come out of the East in case we need them. Second choice would be UCLA. I just absolutely can't stand UNC so no way I'm rooting for them.

Yeah. We are just so poorly coached, it’s pathetic. What a sad deal at the GOAT college basketball program. Cal has made a legit mockery of our program and team. He’s an absolute fraud.

If Duke wins it will a subtle jab at K owning Cal. I mean he owns most people , but going out on top after us losing in the opening round , as a supposed threat - more icing on the cake for them , whether we like it or not .. hopefully it doesnt happen , I'd love for Purdue or Houston to win it . Or Arky , then send us Mus Please

12 fouls the whole game and at least 5 of those were given intentionally for situational fouling.
