Good job by upper weights. Chapman really gassed out. Had no business losing that match. Was much better wrestler but shows how important conditioning is

The Cotton win might be the best win by a Rutgers wrestler this season
Really impressed with Cotton. Kid looks great in this tournament.
Totally agree.Kid is coming into his own.
Our upper weights have looked good. The unknown is the level of the competition. I really wish there were some top guys we could have faced. Not the fault of our guys as they can only wrestle who is in front of team.
Harer knocking off Miller , Barbosa and Ford beating Mulvaney , Cotton beating Correa, SCW running through everyone and putting up points.. this is the best the team has looked in awhile
Harer and Ford put together a few wins and get rematches for third place.
What are you talking about? Who said it was luck? He earned every bit of it, he wrestled to his absolute peak. But when his career is over, you’re going to see a guy who was R12/R16 3x and AA once. Is he an AA talent who failed to live up to expectations or is he a perennial top 16 guy who absolutely killed it one year. Call that whatever you want.

You’re basically implying Shawver is a career R12/R16 guy that had one overachieving outlier year. He’s not “regressing” he’s just reverting back to what he truly is all along.
You have an interesting way of being a white knight and protecting the coaching staff at all costs. I’m not even blaming the coaching staff, yet your white knight sonars just fire to protect protect.. you can sugar coat it all you want. I’m just pointing the facts that Shawver is not the same wrestler he was his soph year.

Yep and that he had a hot run that one year, don’t sound so confused when you ask who implied it was a lucky year. That’s what it means to be an outlier.

Very common theme and when I watch with others they say same thing about our wrestlers. I hear coaches in corner saying stuff but its going on deaf ears which is when you start to wonder
I’ll tell you what, I give Shawver credit. Only five starters showed up, he wrestled every single match, when he lost, he did not medical forfeit. He just continued to wrestle.

Nice but really not a big deal to win team title. By the way can the person who updates the twitter account provide scores even when rutgers loses. Ridiculous that they never post when we lose but always a Boom with a win
About the only way to justify attending a bad tournament like Midlands is mat time and match experience. I probably wouldn’t have even sent our starters.
look, I am as critical of Goody as anyone, but why throw shade on this win? I dont get it.

I thought that was an insult too Kutztown.I was going to reference the old TCNJ open.Although Wayne Catan, Ken Chertow, John Guira (a buddy of mine),Joe Melchiore ( another buddy) all wrestled in the TCNJ open.
You really just are a miserable person.... Yes the Midlands isnt what it was... But we did win it while sending only a few wrestlers there that counted for team points... Overall the guys wrestled pretty well..
