Interesting timing.

We got Kevin Warren all of a sudden coming to our games (none high profile) ever since MJ got the interim tag.

Someone got an SI piece done on MJ this week. Which, to be honest, while interesting, seemed a bit odd -- a WR coach taking over as interim (not full time head coach) a few weeks ago isn't exactly groundbreaking.

And just a couple days later the local news media gets tossed a bone that ASU has interest in MJ.

Might all be coincidence.

Either that or someone's applying a bit of pressure to TA.

Those just automatically assuming he’ll stay on staff in a capacity other than head coach need to realize that isn’t a foregone conclusion.

If we can get Petersen, Klieman, Kiffin, Freeze or maybe Leipold, we should. Otherwise we roll with Mickey. If he gets the ASU job, that’s great for him.

either way its clear he has other p5 options. trev needs to make a move or someone else will
Let the other person make the move. ASU has been mediocre since Jake Plummer was there. Every other Pac fanbase can be relieved they will remain there if he is hired.

Mickey's agent pushing for a big raise!
He has done nothing to deserve a raise and won't be the head coach after the Iowa game. Mickey's agent pushing for a raise would be like me pushing for a raise when I worked temp jobs in college.

What about Aranda, BOB, Stoops. A lot of good coaches out there.

He's done plenty to push for a big raise, as WR/AHC.

Kiffin or Freeze may end up at Auburn. I hope Leopold stays at KU and rides into the sunset

I posted several times that there would be external pressure applied to Trev and NU to hire Mickey

If Warren wants us to hire Mickey, he better start fixing some games for the good guys.
Look around college football at some of the hires and contracts. I think it's pretty clear that some ADs have been scrambling to project the right appearances.

Yeah they may be good as well. Hard to say who will turn things around I guess. Hell Mickey might be able to do it, but this program is on life support. Is that a dice we want to roll? By the way I think Mickey seems like a tremendous person and can recruit, but another coaching fail could be the nail in the coffin.

ASU has some very serious administrative problems. Their AD is a piece of work and I doubt many top head coaching candidates are going to want to deal with their mess.

Mickey will be a serious candidate for half a dozen D1 head jobs this off-season

At least 3 will be P5

I stated last week when telling @Lincoln100 he’s a small thinker that ASU will be one and here we are

For being right all the time, I sure get a lot of push back. It is extremely obvious to anyone with a functioning brain that MJ is a rare and white hot commodity.

He will not stay unless it’s as head coach, nor should he

We need a Black coach with superior connections to the South.
lets say mickey keeps getting pounded..then you have questions of quota's and bring race into things...
nobody wants that, mickey would do well at asu. but trev can't roll the dice this go around

There is zero chance ASU is considering MJ for their HC
