You are 100% right, 100 times over. Mockery of off season national champions…..this winter the men’s basketball team gave fans and media something else to do and it’s been quiet around the football team. And that’s perfect. Maybe they can focus on practicing and getting better instead of standing in the spotlight soaking up the attention. Fans cried when spring game event was different, the misery of some of the fans rock solid, they are always b!tching no matter what. I get it, mountains of disappointment, frustration, and dissatisfaction over the years has led to a variety of responses from fans.
With the playoff format, NIL and portal...things should be great for NU. But sadly, we hired Rhule.
Rhule is a terrible coach, what do you want me to say? I played that stupid fvcking game for 4 years with frost until I realized he flat out sucked.

I can't remember what year it was, Solich was coach and there was construction going on during the spring game. Big trash chute from the press box. The attendance was fairly low that year.

Yeah I'm surprised there's that many, it's cold and windy and we're going into Year 4 with the same coach. Not really anything exciting to draw people to watch a scrimmage.

Are you new here? It is a very small minority of people backing Rhule on this board. But there are certain people who will attack other posters if they make any kind of comment about the program that doesn’t involve trashing the staff.

I’m the closest thing to a Rhule supporter out there and even I hated the extension.

Pillen is more responsible for the extension than anyone else in the state. He still holds immense sway over the BOR.

I turned on the game. 2nd play was a punt returner fair catching at the 2 yard line. Don’t care if the plan was to not return kicks and just practice catching the ball. You don’t allow things in practice that should never happen in a game. Ever. Just another example of a complete lack of attention to detail and discipline in the program. Rhule has no idea what he’s doing.
I remember that, because I wanted to see Curt Dukes at QB. He was an early enrollee, which was not common in 200?. Anyways, the weather was ****, Dukes looked like an impressive athlete, but ho-hum as a QB. We went like 7-7 in the fall, Curt Dukes transferred to UNC as a safety. He was never heard from again. I think it was 2002.
Jamal Rhule was about the only bright spot of the entire game.
