Huge for Jan and the team! The fact they were able to win against Dawn and South Carolina for their top target is a big big deal. They should feel like they can compete for any recruit in the country at this point
I also saw this somewhere but I haven't found any official confirmation. Not Kyle but I believeTJ has an official scheduled in October.
Interesting that Chad refers to her as a wing. Clearly is a post player with a decent looking outside shot.
She plays mostly post on her High School team because that is where the team needs her,She has played the 4 in AAU and international competition.
She's gonna be a Hannah Stuelke, but who can hit the outside shot and the 3, correct?
Major props to the staff on this one.
Absolutely, great job Jan and staff for keeping things going in the right direction after Lisa and CC22 moved on. And a big shout out to all you Hawk fans who keep Carver buzzing . They're a big part of the reason that Iowa is now a destination for top recruits. Bring that level of fandom to Ben and the the mens team, and lets get that ball rolling as well....Major props to the staff on this one.
With Fran coaching absolutely... I think Ben will have a big say if we can keep up with the women's program. If it wasn't obvious before it is now. Iowa is a women's basketball school by pretty much every measure.
The PERFECT 4 for this team. We have the H girls, (Heiden and Hays). MW is what they hope Hannah can become. Score and defend the paint, and hit both the elbow jumper and the three.Interesting that Chad refers to her as a wing. Clearly is a post player with a decent looking outside shot.
Throughout Caitlin's entire tenure at Iowa, the roster had only one player from outside the Midwest, O'Grady from Colorado (also Jones from Kansas, but that's an unfortunate story). This year's roster has five from other parts of the country (and the DR). That is a big change. Those who like to lean into the narrative that Iowa has not taken advantage of the Clark success are not paying attention.IOWA has become a national program thanks to Caitlin Clark.
These 6 Hawkeyes are a long way from home; they nevertheless found their home away from home in Iowa City.
I hope the Bjorn family has found the perfect fit in Iowa City as well.

Certainly I'd still consider Kansas in the midwest. I guess you could consider Kansas and Colorado to be "plains states", but certainly the last couple of years have seen a huge shift in Iowa becoming a national brand.Throughout Caitlin's entire tenure at Iowa, the roster had only one player from outside the Midwest, O'Grady from Colorado (also Jones from Kansas, but that's an unfortunate story). I thought Lewis was being recruited as PG. Kyle stated later in the post that we are looking at her more at the 2.Why would we need to pick up a point guard?
Not in college if she’s 6’2”Interesting that Chad refers to her as a wing. Clearly is a post player with a decent looking outside shot.
Why not? Juju is 6'2 and plays on the perimeter. Not in college if she’s 6’2”
She is not a post player. Power forward or stretch 4.Interesting that Chad refers to her as a wing. Clearly is a post player with a decent looking outside shot.
McKenna retweeted this:
She seems has a similar playing style to Napheesa Collier. She's skilled with the ball, shoots 3, and can also play at the rim on both sides of the court. PF with wing skills.Interesting that Chad refers to her as a wing. Clearly is a post player with a decent looking outside shot.
Hawk Central has a list of Iowa's Top-100 recruits since 2008. Here's the one's still on the team this year, except for Ava Jones, Aaliyah Guyton, and McKenna Woliczko. That's eight top-100 players at the same time. I dunno how that compares to other elite programs, but it looks good to me. We lose the 2022 crew of three at the end of the year, so we better sign a couple more to keep it up.

Some publications had Deal ranked quite a bit higher at times in her career. I think the fact that she's such a team player probably held her back a bit, but making the McDonalds AA teams puts her right in that 12-20 range anyway.Hawk Central has a list of Iowa's Top-100 recruits since 2008. I'm making this comment in general, but-Checked Woliczko’s instagram followers just before 10am.. 8,400
Right now it’s up to 10.3k almost 1.9k more followers in 8 hours by committing to Iowa.
