Huge for Jan and the team! The fact they were able to win against Dawn and South Carolina for their top target is a big big deal. They should feel like they can compete for any recruit in the country at this point

McKenna Woliczko said this about Carver Hawkeye Arena:

I have also heard that we could be a few donors away from upgrades to Carver. I fell in love with it on my 1st trip to Iowa City! Iowa has amazing fans and we can reward their loyalty by making Carver an even better experience for everyone! Fans, donors and players alike! I can’t wait to be a part of this fanbase!”

IOWA has become a national program thanks to Caitlin Clark.

These 6 Hawkeyes are a long way from home; they nevertheless found their home away from home in Iowa City.

I hope the Bjorn family has found the perfect fit in Iowa City as well.

Interesting that Chad refers to her as a wing. Clearly is a post player with a decent looking outside shot.

She's gonna be a Hannah Stuelke, but who can hit the outside shot and the 3, correct?

I don’t know if at this point in time she is a 3 point weapon, She can hit them, Her ability to put the ball on the floor and drive would likely already separate her from Hannah although hopefully Hannah has improved that part of her game this offseason.

Major props to the staff on this one.

Absolutely, great job Jan and staff for keeping things going in the right direction after Lisa and CC22 moved on. And a big shout out to all you Hawk fans who keep Carver buzzing . They're a big part of the reason that Iowa is now a destination for top recruits. Bring that level of fandom to Ben and the the mens team, and lets get that ball rolling as well....

The PERFECT 4 for this team. We have the H girls, (Heiden and Hays). MW is what they hope Hannah can become. Score and defend the paint, and hit both the elbow jumper and the three.

Throughout Caitlin's entire tenure at Iowa, the roster had only one player from outside the Midwest, O'Grady from Colorado (also Jones from Kansas, but that's an unfortunate story). This year's roster has five from other parts of the country (and the DR). That is a big change. Those who like to lean into the narrative that Iowa has not taken advantage of the Clark success are not paying attention.

Certainly I'd still consider Kansas in the midwest. I guess you could consider Kansas and Colorado to be "plains states", but certainly the last couple of years have seen a huge shift in Iowa becoming a national brand.

She seems has a similar playing style to Napheesa Collier. She's skilled with the ball, shoots 3, and can also play at the rim on both sides of the court. PF with wing skills.

Hawk Central has a list of Iowa's Top-100 recruits since 2008. Here's the one's still on the team this year, except for Ava Jones, Aaliyah Guyton, and McKenna Woliczko. That's eight top-100 players at the same time. I dunno how that compares to other elite programs, but it looks good to me. We lose the 2022 crew of three at the end of the year, so we better sign a couple more to keep it up.

Some publications had Deal ranked quite a bit higher at times in her career. I think the fact that she's such a team player probably held her back a bit, but making the McDonalds AA teams puts her right in that 12-20 range anyway.

Yep, a true modern-day 4 with enough range to play the 3 and spot time at the 5.

Not sure if I'd use her as a Point-Forward though. Ideally, we'd want to have a guard capable of handling the ball against pressure, and feeding her the ball.

Checked Woliczko’s instagram followers just before 10am.. 8,400

Right now it’s up to 10.3k almost 1.9k more followers in 8 hours by committing to Iowa.
I'm making this comment in general, but-

Mmm......following college athletes and placing merit and worth on the number of engagements and followers they have on social media sites like Instagram and Twitters............................

#get off my lawn

(P.S. this is something I've noticed is a growing trend for people arguing about the popularity of a player. Like for example, the idiots of Twitter arguing Angel Reese > Caitlin Clark because Reese had more simps followers on social media....................."who in the f*** cares.")
