I was hoping she'd do like hays did and commit when she was here on her visit. It has me a little concerned 😟

We all are spending more time thinking about what she is thinking than we are thinking about our struggling passing game last Saturday… distractions are sometimes helpful!

I can multi task.

I don’t subscribe but Skim Mulkey reportedly has McKenna as heavy Iowa lean.
“ As previously mentioned, it’s an Iowa / South Carolina battle. I would lean heavily toward Iowa getting a commitment and I’d imagine it will be within the next 7 days. After speaking with multiple sources, it seems like Woliczko is going to end up in Iowa City.”

People pay for this information.

But, with that said.

Still the coolest thing in college sports. It's hard for a recruit, heck anyone, to not be moved by that tradition.

I seem to recall hearing that it happened organically by some students in the student section waiving to some kids watching the game and it just took off but I'm not totally sure. This has probably been discussed many times on the football forum but I rarely frequent that forum. Does anyone know how that started for sure?

I know I shouldn't but I really have my hopes up on McKenna W coming aboard, to the point I'd be surprised if she doesn't. I trust I'm not setting myself up for a major letdown.
Milkey could be eluding to a Michigan recruit as well.. had 2 officials yesterday.

Interesting that Gyamfi was not in the team picture this weekend. Saw she was in San Francisco for the Fever and Valkyrie game.

They have 2 offers left that are known for 2026

Kylee Paben, wing, didn’t see her ranked in the top 100 anywhere

Ariyana Cradle, guard, who is ranked between 50-75 on some sites to unranked

Paben visited this past weekend..

No, thats not how it started. When they were finishing the hospital you could see how the upper floors overlooked Kinnick. An Iowa housewife, (I don't remember her name), posted on facebook how cool it would be for everyone to wave at the kids during a timeout. She thought it might happen once. Kirk (who had just donated a million dollars to the hospital after Brian and his wife lost their baby girl Savi who was 20 days old), got ahold of it and along with the PR department put the thing in play for the home opener, (2017 maybe)? And it was such a hit that its been every game now for the last 8 years. Tom Rinaldi did a 6-7 minute piece on it, and it went viral. At the end of the season at the national awards ceremony, Iowa was awarded the Best moment or something, (an award that always had gone to an individual) but was given to Iowa.
