I don't believe that, but could see that McCord wanted to know if they planned to get DR game action next year and he said I'm out.
If I was McCord, I would only be turning away because they promised starter to someone else or I just didn't like what I saw on the visit / NIL wasn't as anticipated. I wouldn't be afraid of a freshman coming in when I plan to be gone after one year.

So far this staff has guaranteed a starting job to a December commit 100% of the seasons they’ve been here
Or maybe the QB's are looking for more money by considering their options. At this point it's all a game and let's see who is in Lincoln in August.
