No
Ryan just said he is not as positive for McBride. What in the hell is Pope doing? Clearly he wants this guy, and still can't close on mid major

People said last year's team was a "team full of backups" but that wasn't really true.
This is looking like a team full of backups.

For real. Pope. Fox. Mo. Wtf is going on over there??!
When do we get our actual players?!?!?!
We have people saying we've upgraded 4/5 positions. I'm telling you, that 20L train is gonna hit like a muthafucka.

Wait... Which Hawthorne splitting time at the 2/3? Braydon? He came in to UK at 6'8" and is reported to have grown an inch and is still growing. Braydon splits time at the 3/4 most likely, just like Kam. If this was our complete roster and the season started today, Braydon would be our starting 4 (scary I know), with Reece Potter back him and Moreno up. And Noah being the backup 3/4. Yikes...
Braydon may be 6'10, but he was a 2/3 out of high school. He's not strong enough to slide to the 4, he is a perimeter player.

He's definitely a wing, no argument there, but I don't see a world where he is ever playing the 2 in college. I don't think he could ever be quick enough to guard the 2 in the SEC. He did play the 2 some in high school when he was still 6'6" and 6'7" but was primarily a wing and spent most of his upperclassman years at the 3. He's definitely a wing, but right now, he's a 3/4 by necessity simply because of his size.

Did I read this correctly.

Assuming he attends UK this will be his fourth school in as many years?

Sure smells like chasing the “money” to me and a red flag.

Know system today is designed to enable player churning.

But doesn’t mean your recruiting efforts target players who flip annually.
Correct . He was a 3 star recruit and teammate with the 5 star Brandon Garrison on the same team. Spent one year at Nevada and one at JMU. He improved every year , probably more than the BG improved , but still I take BG as much better than him, because of BG athletic abilities and defense.McBride is slightly better shooter than BG but at much higher minutes usage , but I think if BG is still better.

Mcbride would be a nice back up and would give us toughness and some IQ but I still want a starter.

The answer to your question is these players aren't looking for a place where they will be the backup.-
Exactly - This board is obsessed with making former starters- BACKUPS .
WILL STEIN came in and said - “ Every starting position on the team has to be earned on the field” - POPE needs to do the same.

Yeah, maybe he left without a commitment for the very reason we see today. Maybe fans here prefer McBride. IDk

Looking more and more like a 17-15 type team.

Even so, if UK hires a pathetic AD, they won't upgrade over Pope. Kentucky needs a homerun hire in the AD department. Someone from the outside who is willing to put basketball over everyting.

17-15. lol. Richie wants 16-20 losses. You guys can meet and cheer against us. Won't get you anywhere.

Sports Agents will one day write best selling industry books about how Mark Pope changed the way agents work deals, and how he helped them single handily changed how they negotiated maximum contract terms, by leveraging the coach’s desperation against themselves.
Tell us more. McBride gone, much better signing today than him. Will you learn from it and be humble or just keep vomitting all over the screen?

The signing today gives Pope & Mo time to be patient & frugal with the cash. Many teams are filling up & there are many good players unsigned. I’d like to see Ky sign Morton today , then we have 5 guards plus Kam. Now we need another 3 -4 swing forward in case Kam or Hawthorne get hurt or don’t pan out .
