Lol where was oweh ranked in portal again? Plus freeman less skilled more athletic and more injury prone. He played for a bad Syracuse team that won what 12 or 15 games? Sometimes it's about fit still though iowa st dude/stokes/ foreign players/ possible 5th year players/ maybe burks, we still have 6 spots that can be had
Pope hasn't learned anything from his mistakes it seems if they leave without commiting it's probably over.

And yeah it’s funny a few times the editing isn’t exactly spot on and you can tell he can barely throw.

I figured that’s why Hawthorne waited till last minute was to see if Stokes committed to UK… maybe the staff got word from Stokes agent that he was looking elsewhere and it was relayed to the Hawthorne’s camp.It's already interesting.

They have backup minutes and he will want to start or get lots of pt, at UK he will get that. Pope loves the subs
What are you on about? Rumor was asking price was 2.7 million. He has not committed. How does that equal Pope overpaying? First off nothing has been paid or agreed to if he has not committed. Secondly we don't know if we are just waiting on his decision, if we passed due to asking price, if he passed due to much lower counter offer, or if negotiation of said asking price may be the holdup. Besides we do not actually know what anyone has actually been paid so I don't know where the again comes from. The only thing we have heard is the totally unsubstantiated 22 million rumor.

Who cares if they're chasing money. Next season is looking to be a mix of 2013 and 2021. Right now we're just filling a roster.

As long as this dude is player #12/13 on the roster fine. But this guy is nothing to get even a little bit excited about.

It's only pathetic if McBride is asking market value amount. If he is wanting 2.7 million, he is not even close to being worth that amount. Let him walk. I am giving Pope a pass if that is the reason McBride didn't sign.
The $2.7M was just me being sarcastic and joking, he’s probably in the $500K range which is still absurd, IMO.
We should know his asking price and should have communicated his role before the visit you would think. Not the time to be wasting time.
He should probably aim high with Graves or one of the foreign guys at this point though. He has so much in the Stokes decision. McBride is not going to save his job. I would argue you could get as much out of playing Kam at the 4 than he would give.

Diallo and Wilkins aren't coming here to be backups. Moreno isn't coming back to be a backup.. and I doubt Kam is either. I believe the missing starter is Stokes, but we should be finding out soon if this is true or not.
Certainly not a final four contender even with Stokes starting 5.

Kam is almost certainly a back up to Stokes at the 3 if he commits. If he doesn't, Kam will slide between the 3/4, with Hawthorne splitting time at the 2/3. UK needs a starting PF regardless, probably a combo guard that can shoot, and most likely a back up PF.

Wait... Which Hawthorne splitting time at the 2/3? Braydon? He came in to UK at 6'8" and is reported to have grown an inch and is still growing. Braydon splits time at the 3/4 most likely, just like Kam. If this was our complete roster and the season started today, Braydon would be our starting 4 (scary I know), with Reece Potter back him and Moreno up. And Noah being the backup 3/4. Yikes...
