IHSA suspends coach Jordan Lynch for two practices, puts Mount Carmel football program on probation for season
Illinois High School Association sidelines Mount Carmel coach Jordan Lynch for two practices, places football program on probation.
100 percent agree. The inept Elmer Fudd honest mistake lie is embarrassing for a four time defending champion. It’s not a major strategic advantage but it IS a real bad look and damaging to the integrity of the program. Own it and move on.Because he got caught. So stupid. Cameras everywhere. I will die for the CCL but MC guys don’t try and sugarcoat this nonsense. Arrogance. We get it, you’re good. But stop sharing film of every practice like you guys are 85 Bears. You are embarrassing the CCL. Frank would have never put up with this.
Makes you wonder what other rules they may or may not have broke due to an "honest mistakes' .100 percent agree. And upon further review, the two practice penalty is absurd. Lemont volleyball, through actual ineptitude and not a contrived lie, didn’t know 36 regular season matches was one too many a few years ago. A few days before regionals began they were barred from postseason play that season. Pretty sure people lost their jobs for that one.
wouldn’t be shocked to see other programs point out inconsistencies like that. Lemont got the hammer dropped for a similar volleyball mistake a few years ago. MC just gets to self impose a pretend slap on the wrist? If people bark up that tree long enough they will likely get traction for a more suitable punishment.
All of those states also have regulations regarding full pads to start the season.I’m torn on this
it is obviously not a good look
if Illinois ever wants to be able to compete with Florida, Georgia, Texas and California
I believe that the IHSA needs to open up a little on the practice regulations
A bit dramatic. How about some examples.I'm surprised that people are actually surprised/angry about the outcome. The IHSA is just like any other governing body in existence. At the end of the day, there is one set of rules for the elite (private schools) and another set for everybody else (public schools). Always has been, always will be.
In 1994 MC wrestling team wrestled in one too many tournaments even though it was the JV team that wrestled and not the Varsity and they were also banned from State Team competition which lead to lawsuits and eventually ended up with the team State Duel meet being cancelled.100 percent agree. Are you sure?Frank also wouldn't have won 4 championships in a row.......
