Never happening my friends, if you think

Rutgers will never win a National Championship without a little cheating or cutting corners a little in my opinion if you think otherwise your delusional, it’s a grand illusion to have which I myself have frequently pictured in my head but it will never happen, sorry to burst your bubble or anyone else’s . I wish Max could play but because we are not one of the big boys in college football and because today’s time of xxxxxx culture and being xxke it just is not going to happen especially at a NJ college in today’s climate. After there penalties are handed out in a court of law I would not be surprised depending on the outcome that they don’t end up in the transfer portal, I hope not but I could definitely see that happening.
honestly, I'm fine with that.

If I wanted to follow a team that wins national championships by playing dirty, breaking rules and making morally reprehensible personel decisions (and turning out players of questionable moral character as a result), I'd root for Ohio St, Alabama, Oregon or Clemson instead.

That’s fine . But then be fine with fans not wanting to show up to watch the team get drilled.

Yeah but I got the board cred where I am usually right
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. No.

You’re doing that ”legend in your own mind” thing again. “Board cred.” ROFL.

Tell me, what is this “board cred”, that you imagine you have, actually worth? Does it earn you money? Does it help anybody in need? Does it get you job offers? Does it make the team better in some way?

Brsgging on the internet is bad enough. Doing so without actually having accomplished anything worth bragging about is just plain embarrassing.

yeah cuz we are outmanned and outgunned.

we need to rely on superior teams to self-destruct to have a shot to win.

MSU has been shooting themselves in the foot all game and we've been keeping it close with smoke and mirrors.

our coaching is also much better than MSU.
We’re missing the Meltons, AC Hurt??, and we don’t have a go to RB (try Aaron or Kyle or Wright Collins -Pacheco is not the answer).

There are 3 go to backs, and Wright-Collins might be a 4th.

It means when someone knows what they’re talking about talks, you listen. They have been right before and will be right again. A better question is what do you disagree with what I have posted in regards to schiano having this team better in year 5 than year 2? Do you not believe that?

You missed the point. Again.

And also once again, you are making a guess where the chance of being right is at least 50/50. Nobody but you, apparently, is going to give you any credit for guessing right about that. It requires no intelligence or knowledge at all. You could flip a coin.

Ok . And there is something to be said for the guy that tells you it’s 99.9 percent and you think it’s 50/50 . The guy may know what the hell he’s taking about

Show your work, Nostradamus. Otherwise, you’re just making **** up. And once again, nobody gets credit for that except fiction writers.

That’s not showing any math. You said 99.9% probability. Show how you arrived at that figure.

All you’re doing is highlighting two other instances where you guessed at something with better than 50/50 chances of guessing right. Nobody gets credit for that. We can all do that. A gorilla could do it. A freaking horse could do it.

But you know what? Neither the gorilla or the horse would, upon having guessed correctly, brag about it. Making you lamer than a gorilla and a horse.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and make a guess with 99.9% probability of being right. I’m predicting you STILL won’t get it.

Max Melton could help, he would have not changed the outcome in this game. He should have to work his way back, once his legal issues are resolved. Here’s a reality check for some. RU will not seriously challenge for the B1G title in football any time in the next decade. GS needs to set the bar high but RU is not committed to winning at the highest level and to me that is not a bad thing. If we can get to a consistent 7 - 9 win team in this conf, it will be fantastic. Big Bowl games and much respect.

Disagree. Pacheco doesn't have the gears that MSU back has. I'm thinking Wright Collins might be the fastest of our backs but don't know.

I just think we need to do something different...until it works.

We may have personnel problems, but Pacheco is not one of them.
I like Pacheco, but he's not an elite back.

Maybe if we used him for as FB ?? a la Brian Leonard.

He doesn't bust the big ones...and the small 1 / 2 yard gainers leave us in difficult situations on 2nd / 3rd downs.

We are in a league playing at the highest level , but you say we are not committed to win at this level . That is not just a bad thing - it’s a terrible thing. We shouldn’t be here if we aren’t gonna commit to winning .

He shot people with a weapon and intent. It’s something that is happening with more frequency in places throughout the country and even happened in the last election. Shouldn’t normalize this type of behavior simply because it’s a paint pellet or he gives us a better chance to win. I’m sure he’s bummed and wishes he could take it back, but he committed a crime and should be held accountable.

You think Saban would produce national championships with the Rutgers alumni support vs. Alabama's?
Any idiot knows that Schiano is the real deal....very glad we have him!

If he had MSU's talent they would have scored 50+....and limited us to under 10.

One is good and protected their QB.... one is not.

And we've lost at least one O lineman who started...maybe two? Next year we get a several O lineman, but that still puts us 2 years away...UNLESS we use the portal wisely.

This may sound harsh but, would Alabama alumni
accept a below average head coach, Tennessee alumni didn't.

Not positive about your meaning, but I think if the Tennessee alumni had it to do over they'd have made a different decision. And even Tennesse never let their talent level sink as low as RUs did in 2019

How do you agree with that? Characterizing the incident as "He shot them with a weapon and intent"? Using language like that is unfair, misrepresents what actually happened, and is needlessly inflammatory.

He shot them [with a spitball shooter] with intent [to gross them out].
He shot them [with an egg in a slingshot] with intent [to cover them with egg].
He shot them [with a paintball gun] with intent to [splat them with paint].

He shot them [with a gun] with intent [to kill them].

Using language like "he shot people with intent" or it was "a drive by shooting" is wrong and unfair to the players involved. It wrongly connotes people with guns intending to kill people. Not people with paintball or eggs intending to prank people. I'm certainty not advocating they get off with no punishment. Even if the prank was mean spirited and reckless, the "intent" was still to prank someone. Not to kill or seriously injure them. But the language a few people here are using is way over the top and and seems to be arguing for a punishment that fits an actual gun crime with intent to seriously injure or kill people. Football players are actual people and deserve to have fair punishments that fit their actual transgressions. Not get run out of town by an internet mob.

I guess we just assume he remains on suspension since there has been no news.
I admire coaches integrity but it was a paintball gun. Seems like nobody would say coach is being soft if the kid was reinstated this Sunday. He's been punished enough by missing three games.

Agree?
This may be the first time in history that the NJ and national media are handling an RU scandal with more accuracy and fairness than some of the RU fanbase. The media cover the Melton suspension as "a paintball incident".

Imagine if they said "star corner Max Melton won't be available for the game today as he was suspended for 'a drive-by shooting'". Or "he was suspended for shooting people with a weapon with intent".

If there was any reasonable way for the scandal mongering media to spin this as a "drive by shooting", they would. The fact that they don't is just further evidence how far off base some people here are.

And just to head off anyone who tries to paint a strawman of me and say I'm advocating for them not to be punished, or that I condone this: I'm not and I don't. I'm advocating that the punishment fit the actual crime.
