I think this is a first-I saw this because it is on the front page of ESPN.com. Don't think I ever found out about a Husker commitment that way before.

I've heard more than one person say that they think he has the most physical talent of any RB to sign with NU since Lawrence Phillips. THIS is a potential game changer for our team. THIS is the kind of difference maker who could take NU to the next level under Frost. BOOM!

Staff is getting running backs that fit this offense.

Be interesting Bryant comes back from his injury and if Ozigbo has the speed in this offense.

I don’t remember hearing this amount of hype for any previous husker recruit, except maybe T Frazier
I'm not one for hyping recruits, but when I hear guys who have been around a long time who normally won't hype recruits either say things like that....it gets my attention. BIG get.

I’m calling BS. I don’t follow this kid but...deangelo Evans, Ahman green and marlon lucky all were 5 Star talent
I know it and you have to prove it once you get on campus BUT I've heard guys who do this for a living and who normally don't get too excited about recruiting say this kid is a potential difference maker. Washington is bigger and more powerful than Lucky. Evans and Green duh. They were studs. I would take a guy who is 90% of Ahman Green but even Ahman was 2nd team behind LP. Just sayin, this kid's potential is something we haven't had at NU for a loooong time....close to 20 years.

I'm no expert either, but I think MW is the real deal. He's got some quicks, moves, and open field speed that we haven't seen in a while. He seems to have decent power, too. Hope he qualifies.

Is him being eligible a legit concern? They were talking about struggles in high school but credited him to his hard work to work at it. But the fact they even talk about on ESPN is concerning

Maybe, but after watching this kid in the all-star game and watching Marlon Lucky for his Husker career, I think it is incomprehensible that Washington is a 3* and Lucky a 5*. But admittedly one all-star game is a small sample size. Yet other recruiting services rate Washington much higher than Rivals, including top 100 in ESPN.

I haven't seen/heard all the hype but from experience, I've learned to temper expectations. For every Ameer or Helu there are 10 Braylon Heards.

That said, how does the Under Armour AA Game MVP not get a 4th star from Rivals?
Exactly. Anyone watching that game against elite opponents could see he was one of the best athletes on the field -- if not the very best. Well anyone could see it except the Rivals recruiting gurus apparently.Laughing

Marlon Lucky and Aaron Green where they two biggest RB recruits in the past 17 years. Neither of them contributed a great deal with us with the exception of Lucky's 2007 season.

With offers from Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, USC, UCLA, Washington, etc.. he should be bumped up to about a 5.9 4-star.

I don't see how Rivals can have him as a 3*. With the offers he received, his statistics, game film and what he did in the All American game it makes no sense that he isn't ranked higher. Scout has him as a 4*.
I've thought this ever since the All American game, and at that time I never thought he'd be coming to NU, so my opinion is not affected by his commitment.

We should certainly take a wait and see approach with any recruit but at this stage of the game in February, I don't see how anyone cannot be excited about getting him.

Not sure where Davecisar is, so I will offer this in his stead… Look at who was coaching those players. None of them are going to be as good as Scott Frost. Washington will be a star because of Frost and Company.
