If he had any shame, he would apologize for this year. He won't beause he doesn't. He'll just keep spewing the same old lines that mean nothing and hope people forget how bad he was at coaching this year.Matt and his guys did have a great point about Cal - In March, Cal still hadn't decided on a rotation.
We have a point guard, thru no fault of his own that is struggling and I'm being kind, going 0-fer on multiple games , and we have a senior veteran that Cal decides to go with the last 2 games of the season?
People say Cal didn't forget to coach? Cal crashed our program this year because he is so invested in playing his start players.
That isn't good coaching, matter of fact its incompetent coaching. He essentially did a hail mary on the last game of the season.
If he believes he did everything he could to win this year, then he needs to be coaching at some community college somewhere, because that's the performance he turned in this year.
And the reality is, that's the performance he's been turning in for awhile, and he lost the ability to bring in and retain players that can overcome his coaching deficiencies.
Cal said after 10 years he'd be done here. He knows it, everyone knows it. But he isn't going to walk away from that paycheck until it becomes unbearable for him.
