He is a fraud. He has to say stuff like that to keep in good graces with UK. I wish they would ban him his crew and Tipton.

Honestly UK has struggled the last 7 yrs but damn we have 2 EE (2017 lost at the buzzer thanks to Dickhead and 2019 lost in OT) in that time frame and were playing as good as anyone in 2020 when Covid struck. Calm the F down.

UNC was 14-19 two years ago. People on here are idiots.
Honestly I wouldn’t have put UNC in this list a month ago . They haven’t been spectacular these last few years
Top 5 best programs over the last several years… Kentucky isn’t in the top 10. Gonzaga is absolutely top 5

Kentucky is currently a top 5 program because of facilities, players in the NBA, and most importantly because of the BBN.
Cal hasn’t helped us any since 2015, but BBN alone will always keep us as a top program.

We were solid..but far from the best team in the country. Kansas or Gonzaga would’ve wiped the floor with us.

The problem with that is the outlier seasons.
Take out '13 in first half and avg KenPom is #5. '13 is STILL Cals lowest ranked KP team at UK.
Take out '21 in the second half and avg KenPom is still #11.6.
A clear slip. I think we were generally a Top 5 team through 2019. I would dispute folks who didn't think so. 2020 we were good and would have likely been a really good tourney team.

2017 and 2019 we were 2 made baskets in regulation from going to Final Fours both yrs. Who knows about 2020 but we were peaking heading into the SECT when C-19 called the season.

And…final 4 this year. Also 2017 champs. Despite their awful season, which was still better than ours last year, they beat us in nearly every metric over the last 10 years.
UK is a top five program and if you don’t believe it then you don’t know much about the programs history. This is a place where five different coaches have won championship’s and not many can say that. Yes, UK has had a couple setback years but it will get it turned around because history shows us that it will.
No one has mentioned the most important metric, the one that matters the most and keeps UK at the top...most players in the league dog!
Yeah and we were 9-16 last year. They have a title and a Final 4 in that period.
