Well according to some here, if a player isn't a shooter, we don't want them. Because you know, without a team full of shooters, UK never does anything in the NCAA tournament.

Thats not true and you know it . Find me one post where someone has said we don't do anything in the tournament , or that we have to have a team full of shooters . You won't because you can't . This came out last weekend that he was looking to enroll and play somewhere this year and then the next day it came out he would visit all of UConn, UK, and Arizona because they have scholarship spots open this season whereas other teams recruiting him didn't.

Sounds to me like his tweet means that it could be us and that would be news. Least that's what I got from it.

He can not shoot at all. 20% during the summer EYBL, 64% from the line. He needs the rock to become impactful & can't function off-ball wit 2 non shooters Fox/IB.

He's toolsy and again, I'd welcome him, just not a good balance, especially joining late.

I read one analyst review of Diallo and it said "is a monster on defense". That alone makes him a fit. Let's just trust Cal. If Cal takes him he obviously thinks he can help team. If Cal passes, then he thought the reward wasn't worth the risk.

I like Diallo and he can jump out of a gym. If the kid wants to go somewhere he can start it will not be UK, at least not in the beginning. I do believe he could log a lot of minutes by taking playing time away from Mulder and Hawkins. Who knows what he might be able to do by the time March comes around. If anyone could get him ready to play and contribute in 3 months Cal can do it. I think if UConn or Arizona promise him a starting spot, he will choose one of them. Kid wants to show case his talent, and UConn could provide him with that avenue. I know UConn is not very good this year but if he wants to start that may be his only option. If he wants to be on a winning team and can live with being a substitute then he may choose UK or Arizona. I would love to get him. The way he can jump and dunk Cal could use him at the 4 position, because I'm not sure Cal is currently happy with WG or Willis at this time. I know he can't shoot but when you are that close to the basket dunks would be easy for him the way he jumps. Also, the kid can play some D. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the end. Trust In Cal BBN.

Very seldom does adding a guy mid year pay huge dividends. Not only are they behind the other guys but it can be a chemistry problem and we all know what turmoil can do to a team. Just look at Duke and the issues they are having right now. I hope he comes and can help us to # 9 but I am not going to get my hopes up he is the answer to any problems we may have.

It's me! I'm a 6'5" shooter. I can shoot from way beyond the 3 point line all day long.......my only negative is that I only hit about 6% of those shots. They call me a volume shooter........I need a bunch of shots. Also I might need a designated dribbler. I haven't had a ball in my hands in several years. Also, I might need to retake my SAT's again. I tested for them in 1970.....................

I'm all for him joining up. The team as is has underachieved a bit. They will get better with natural progressions as the season goes on, but adding this kid makes us even more talented.

Underachieved a bit? Dam, what do these kids have to do? Didn't most of us predict a couple of non conference losses before the season started? We have 2 losses to two good teams and we have blown the doors off everyone else. Add in a big win over UNC. How has this team underachieved?
