He's talking about me. I can shoot the 3 guys...I'm only 5'8 but I can shoot it. I will lead us to #9.

But in all seriousness, interesting tweet. A lot of times Matt tweets stuff that people overreact to that end up amounting to nothing of significance. Not that we are overreacting OP, but some will.

Is not the same thing that Connecticut reporters tweet it when he was on his visit to UCONN ? Arizona reporters will probably tweet the same thing when he's on a visit there. Would be nice if this time it's true though

It could only be about Diallo..Yeah, I think he comes in and joins the team..Will be bad news for Hawkins and Mulder..He would have to be crazy to join Uconn this year..They are NIT at best

Yeah, unfortunately I'm not sure he fills much of a role on this team. Could maybe guard bigger wings given his length and athleticism? But I hate relying on freshmen to be great defenders as it is, let alone freshmen that come in mid season.

I'm all for him joining up. The team as is has underachieved a bit. They will get better with natural progressions as the season goes on, but adding this kid makes us even more talented.

Well according to some here, if a player isn't a shooter, we don't want them. Because you know, without a team full of shooters, UK never does anything in the NCAA tournament.

Diallo does not offer what we need this year (shooting, rebounding, or defense). We really need another guard for next year though, and if he arrives on campus 6 months early that could only be a good thing. But I don't see him playing much if any this season.

If he shows he can guard the 3, he'll certainly play over Willis and Mulder.

He's gotta be coming here to get ready for next year. I just cannot at all see Cal bringing in to take minutes away from someone the 2nd semester.

Cal is the one that can make this work if anyone could. Just seems odd. The minutes he would be taking belong to Briscoe. Not sure cal would do that to Briscoe or Diallo for that matter.
Unless Cal is going to go 4 guards and Bam, then it would not affect Fox, Monk, or Briscoe.
Then UK brings Gabriel, Willis and Hawkins/Mulder off the bench. Cal hinted at going 4 guards a few days ago but that was with Mulder.
Mu biggest concern is team chemistry. These guys have been here, giving it there all. Be hard to accept someone coming in a 1/3 of the way in and start taking minutes from someone.

I just mean by how they look overall on defense. Not so much wins/losses. The lack of D has been disappointing overall and inconsistent shooting.

Diallo is perfectly capable of rebounding and defending, provided he picks up the defensive scheme. And he can be another dynamite player in transition? But finding a way for him to be successful in the half court in just 3 months would be Cal's biggest challenge.

Maybe Diallo comes in, contributed a little but is here for all of next season with less of a learning curve.

Maybe he hits the ground running and is a "must play" guy. If so, I think Hawks, Mulder, and Willis all lose significant minutes. Briscoe and Monk may cut back just a couple minutes also.

Diallo is smart enough to realize that Cal knows how to utilize Diallos, unlike some other D1 Coaches who will not be named here for anonymity's sake.

Wrong,,.he would take Hawkins and Mulder's min..they average 28 mpg.game so min's are there
