I'm pretty sure he's right, you don't have to a degree in a particular field to practice in that field, you just have to be good at what you do...Bill Clinton taught you well...

LOL! He's not right and neither are you. You must have a degree in civil engineering to be a civil engineer. LOL! Wow, I can't believe people are trying to actually argue this.

Didn't you claim to be a nurse? You think someone can be a nurse without being an LPN, RN, BSN, or MSN?

LMAO! No. It doesn't work that way. You are so f'ucking stupid. You think if I just attempt to practice accounting, I'm an accountant? LOL! You're such a f'ucking idiot. It is amazing.
If you perform accounting work for pay, you are an accountant. You are not a CPA.

LOL! No, again it doesn't work that way. You are such a f'ucking moron. If one were to practice accounting, or law, or engineering, without a degree, they would be breaking the law. They would be a criminal. Keep digging, moron.

We have a couple older women here at work. One handles accounts receivable, and the other handles accounts payable. Both work in the accounting department, and consider themselves accountants, due to doing accounting work. Neither have a degree in accounting, but they're considered accountants.

I pulled the tractor out of the shed last night, and mowed the lawn. That doesn't make me anything special, but at least for a couple hours last night, I was considered to be my wife's lawn boy.

So you think everyone in the accounting department has an accounting degree? That is silly. I can promise you everyone performing engineering at an engineering company doesnt have a BS in engineering. I dont know how it works at a law firm, but I have heard stories about lawyers getting in trouble for certain practices.

That is illegal. You are wrong, again, as usual.

That is referring to PE's signing off on projects. If I was selling engineering services as an engineer it would be illegal. All work I do is under the supervision of a PE.

@countryroads89 is known to be a big time creep in the Huntington area. Several females have threatened him with harassment. Not to mention that he is bald and got in legal troubles for buying referrals from inmates He also is very racist and got caught in a lie where he said he was black. He is whiter than his kkk hood.

To be a PE you have to have a degree in an ABET accredited program. There are several programs that are ABET accredited. They include accredited civil engineering degrees and technology degrees and the last time I looked a general engineering degree at Marshall but nationwide there are several accredited programs that are not a BS in CE.

That is the sit for the PE.

You are an engineer when you perform engineering work just like you are a carpenter when you perform carpentry.

Agreed. You can also be a sound engineer, and my favorite was a guy who pumped gas referred to himself as a petroleum transfer engineer.

Not sure what cunty is talking about. I don't work in the field so I had to google it. There are numerous jobs working as a civil engineer that don't require a degree or a licence. Not to mention military enlisted civil engineers. I have never seen @dave say he was a mechanical engineer.

I have never been a nurse and would never say that...I have banged a nurse or two...or three...I spent most of my career in Pharmaceuticals specializing in infectious diseases and pain management...I wore many hats within a fortune 20 company and my healthcare experience was very in-depth as I worked with some of the most prestigious ID experts, pharmacist's and pain management leaders in the world.

Engineering means that you are an expert in a field...A PE is a title...big difference...

A PE is similar to a CPA or passing the bar exam. It is difficult to get and quite an achievment. Itis nice to have financially and it comes with a lot of liability. I dont even know if I would say being an engineer means you are an expert but engineers have to look at a situation from a lot of different perspectives and apply science and math to achieve a level of safety and quality solutions based on facts. It is a very fact driven business.

Is this the time to say, I actually graduated Civil Engineering,
and the USNAVY converted
me to Mechanical (then General Engineering then back to Mechanical).

Ps...this has zero to do with
Beirut Bombing, but who cares .

Cunty changed the subject because her Hezbollah buddies may have killed a bunch of people.

You are a shitload smarter than anyone else on here. No matter what kind of degree you have your expertise is going to be based on your work experience after school.

Not sure why country cant stay on topic but he is obsessed with me. I apoligize for his lack of manners and hateful unamerican act.

Hahahahahahahahahaha.

Yes, you do.

Damn moron. It’s both sad and funny at the same time.

I will never let you down on this one. I will remind you of you being caught in your lies on a regular basis. It is a sad condition when a person feels they have to lie about their profession on a random message board to anonymous posters in an attempt to impress them.
You don’t know what you’re taking about. My friend is a petroleum engineer for Chevron. His degree is in chemical engineering.

Country,

You're ok with a 6'2" 220 lb man named Jim who wants to wear prom dresses and tiaras and must be referred to by "her" new name of "Precious". You're ok with a school boy coming to school in a dress so he can take a piss in the girl's bathroom and hopefully get a free peek. You're ok with that said male playing and dominating a female sport. You're ok with parents who cross-dress their third grade daughter they named Jane at birth so "he" can go by the more masculine name of Jake. You're ok with a 5'1" white bull dyke who wants to be referred to as a 6'6" Chinese male.

You're ok with all these but you draw the line at whether Dave wants to call himself an engineer?

Phhht... give me a break.

LOL! Yes, I do. Petroleum engineers (by profession) graduate with a degree (it was their major) in chemical engineering. Civil engineers must have graduated with a degree in civil engineering, and therefore had to major in civil engineering, unlike dildodave "who didn't major in civil engineering."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Hey, KKKountry a/k/a Baldy a/k/a Talcum X: You've been destroyed in this thread, and no matter how much you admire KKK Bobby Byrd's filibuster of the Civil Rights Act in 1964, and are trying to repeat it, you've lost, and you continue to be the laughing stock of this board.

My wife’s uncle was chief engineer for TRW in Cleveland. He was hired away and became chief engineer near Lynchburg manufacturing nuclear rods for the Navy. He retired in Dallas as a project manager for Erickson Cellular. He oversaw all the tower installations for Carlos Slim. His only degree was an associates degree in design. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

In a 5 minute search on careerbuilders.com, I found that government positions want the civil engineering degree, but private firms only require an ABET related degree.

STFU and get out of your government bubble.

This is entirely not true. I know several PEs who graduated with Technology degrees.

It is true, moron. I busted your lying, fraudulent ***. Dumbass. You are a technician. You are not an engineer. But if it makes you feel better pretending to be an engineer on this board, more power to you, but we all know that you are not an engineer. You are a technician.

You have been wrong the whole time. You know you are wrong so you attack me some more. It really doesnt matter what I am because my career is irrelevant here. I did not lie and the only reason you need to "bust" me is because you are a sad little child with no self esteem. You have made a fool of yourself once again.

Let me put this to rest...my best friends daughter works as an IT engineer for Apple. She has a degree in that from OSU. There a lots of people with the same title as her that never even went to college but are recognized as engineers at Apple. In fact, a lot of tech companies prefer self taught IT people over degrees as they are more proficient. My future SIL has a minor in IT and said its worthless and most companies prefer non college engineers as they are better employees...
