Both share a love for NASCAR wrecks and rednecks. No need then for Freezus to appear on Thursday.

Anybody know when it will happen? Will the propaganda piece be televised?

One thing you can count on from Marty is for him to name-drop. Every time he reports something it starts off with "I was just in Dale Jr's house shooting pool with him and..." or "I was just with Jimmy Johnson at this Best Friend Retreat and he said...".

Dan Wolken on Finebam say that Freezus won't lose his job because TUNS is too desperate for success.

Wolken has interviewed enough people tied to the OM program to know that's the truth.

Us being quasi-relevant has them scrambling.

I don't think there's any way UM drops Freeze unless they just absolutely have to. I fully expect them to go with an interim coach for a year if they have to and then bring him back before they'd fire him. It's going to be very interesting to see which coaches get show-causes and for how long. If the NCAA follows their new rules, Freeze is screwed. I suspect they're going to chicken out and give him a watered down penalty though.

He will survive even if he has to sit a year. Great story of redemption in the

making.

Only way they'd cut him loose would be if he gets an extended show-cause. Anything over 2 years, and I don't think they're going to have a choice. I just don't think the NCAA is going to have the guts to hand down anything more than 1 year at most.

The lasr couple of head coaches given show causes have been for more than five years, right? Tyndall...

He's the first coach under the new 2012 responsibility rule as well to my knowledge. We know no way OM fires him, but we have no idea how the NCAA will view things. Scary spot to be in for our Reb friends.

As keep getting mentioned: there are a tremendous amount of eyes on this case. In many ways, it's the watershed to see what the rules are for the next decade of college football. The NCAA knows this. We'll have to see what the message is they send.

Ol' Ball Coach say on Finebam: "If they had national signing day back then like they do now, I probably would have went to Ole Miss."

I did like the Starbucks hipster barrista Marty Smith talking a lot about how these allegations have effected Hugh's family. And how Hugh Freeze has to "look in the mirror at the end of the day and see integrity".

Hugh Freeze is the first Head Coach in College Football history being investigated by the NCAA, and the National Media has to be so compassionate and feel the pain of Hugh's character coming into question.

I cannot remember folks in the media giving 2 Sh!ts about Jackie Sherrill's family, Pat Dye's family, Mike Dubose's family, Butch Davis' family, Pete Carroll's family, Bobby Petrino's family, etc.

Man, that interview was so unsettling. I don't know if ESPN could have painted a darker picture of him. And so much editing in the first few minutes. I don't know what Freezus was hoping to accomplish in that interview. Whatever it was, it didn't happen.

"we try not to hide from anything and mistakes were made" are his go to phrases. Yet they hid from everything as long as possible. Then in the same interview said he had "zero tolerance" (but the coaches responsible are still employed) and "he's the CEO of the program" but was somehow completely oblivious to all of this going on under his nose.

The weirdest part was when he timidly said, "he wrote me a letter."

So....would you say that this is a Flagship case of sorts? Ole miss is doing the nation a favor and taking the rectal temp from the NCAA for the benefit of all of college football.

I think anything over one year is enough for them to force their hand. In today's SEC climate, there is no way they can just hand the reins to an interim guy like Werner, etc. for 2 years when they are most likely going to be dealing with severe scholarship reductions at the same time. That would essentially be throwing in the towel for a good while. They will need a big name, elite guy to take over if a show cause hits Freeze just to keep the long term impact from completely destroying the program. And my guess would be that it will cost them a pretty penny. They could always hit the reset button by making an Orgeron type hire to navigate them out of the probation wilderness, but I don't think we'll be that lucky.

I just dont understand how you can have 13 football allegations ( with more on the way) on accident. I mean do these coaches trip and accidentally put money in prospect's pockets?

He isn't going to take any blame for anything. We would be destroying Mullen if he were this aloof about an investigation this serious.

Also, in the middle Danny Hugh is seriously channeling his inner Ricky Bobby when talking about Tunsil. Sounds just like a Ricky Bobby interview. Nice job Semi-Callous Danny Hugh.

What the ..? So, he can talk to MSU DL, Chris Jones a couple times a week .. but can't pick up the phone and dial Tunsil? Who believes this crap?

Habitual. Liar.

It's that simple. Just like him "standing by his player and not running from their mistakes" while he bolts out of radio city music hall as soon as Tunsil gets off the podium. He is a liar.

Bro Wallace spoof video couple years ago. He said Hobby Lobby rather than Hotty Toddy.

That's code for 1 year bowl ban, 3 show causes, 4 years probation and 18 schollys over 4 years.
I have to think they'd take that without hesitation at this point as long as Freeze wasn't one of the show causes.

the best 30 for 30 for the Oxpatch bunch. better than Chucky Mullens, better than UM's hatred for black people. "Would you believe it if i told you about a man who told Jesus where to tell the disciples to throw their nets? Would you believe it if i told you that same Godly man had stones thrown at him by the NCAA? tune in for the newest 30 for 30 - Jesus' counselor: the making of an Ole Miss dynasty"
