At that size he can play H-back or tight end for Stoops
He started out playing baseball,, throwing 91 at 16.. Then had shoulder problems and dropped baseball for basketball..
Yet another reason for the Illini to hate us [laughing]
Hope we didn't wait too late. Would make a great fourth guard, and once Hollingsworth made it clear he wasn't waiting, and we werent going to pursue MJ Walker, Smith would have been a smart priority.

Kid was committed to play baseball at mizzou then decommitted when the baseball coach was fired. Then focused his talent on bball and took off. Starting to pick up offers from big ten schools and Bulter and mizzou offered for basketball.
Is this guy a high school senior now as it says class of 2016. When would he be eligible to play. If we are reaching for this guy this tells me Cal must not feel comfortable about the shooter he covets in this class by the name of Kevin Knox.

Great find supafuzz, I have been very anxious to see what Cal is gonna do with the guard situation. From watching his highlights (obviously they are just highlights), he seems like he is a pretty darn good outside shooter, and probably the best we would have on our team next year if we got him. The fact that he won Mr. Basketball in Illinois tells you he is something special too
Those shots from deep don't look like just a randomly-good night. Seems this dude can shoot.

Made 44 3s,, 82% free throw shooter and 2.1 steals.. All I can find..
I''ll take that everyday. If this kid can come in and make perimeter shots and not hurt us on the defensive end, sign him up. Those Illinois fans are gonna go nuts. You talking about a fan base that hates Kentucky.
Can't shoot a lick, Cal won't get one in this class. Monk, Murray, Booker, Lamb were not shooters. Well not good ones anyway.
We need more guard depth and a 6'5 guard that could be here 4 years is never a bad thing

What they don't understand is that there are minutes at the 2 and 3 positions for Ky. Smith is definitely more of a 2g if you look at his highlights. Diallo could easily play the 3.

I appears to me that the overall perception is that he is UK's if we want him... Illinois fans have been humbled to reality, "gawn" used too many times, I hope it doesnt become popular here.
