As one Callahan 4 star recruit said as he toured campus "where's all de sistahs?". We have probably roughly 100 young black athletes (football, basketball and track) on campus and our total number of black students in the most recent stats I've seen is 559. It's a culture shock for some kids who are coming from high schools that are predominantly black.

I think a lot of black guys are just fine with having so many white women to choose from....I don't think it is a negative at all when it comes to recruiting and when they step foot on campus for a visit.
agree. Texas's starting freshman RB last night averaged over 17 yards per carry in high school. I realize we likely weren't going to get that kid but man there's a ton of talent down there.
Sad but true. You saw a kid on campus who wasn't white you were like, "Oh what are you here on scholarship for?"
I used to hang out with a couple dudes on my dorm floor who were African American and the **** the guys next door from Columbus used to ask them you'd just be like, "Dude JESUS Christ I know you're not meaning to upset anyone but are you serious right now?"
As an undergrad at UNL, one of my black friends on a Saturday morning went for a jog around Lincoln. Someone walking out to pick up their newspaper spotted him and said something like, "Go get 'em today, son! Go Big Red!"
And my friend was one of the most unathletic guys you can imagine, regardless of skin color.
LOL that's about right. Happened all the time, somebody was not white or not from NE and somebody would turn to them before class like, "So what do you play?"
They used to have that club fair at the beginning of the year and there was some sweet girl trying to talk to me about like...Mormonism or something like that. Something I was 0% going to do but I was trying not to be rude to her. She dead serious asked me if I played for the football team. I'm 6 feet tall and never was above 170 lbs lean ever. I'm about 180 now but...it ain't muscle.
Special people out there in the world.
I was pretty good at intramurals and got asked if I was on the football team a couple times. Nope, not anywhere close to that level.
Or when the black guy named Lucky pulled a gun and killed one of the soccer girls. Maybe Fleming could visit him in the prison?
Was looking at a couple of domestic violence charges....
Not a surprise. No one liked him at all.
During covid he was in Florida playing on Instagram while everyone else was at practice.
