wth? Maryland? Really? That doesn't make much sense unless he just wants to be in a more urban environment. I guess there's more "sisters" in College Park MD so there is that. Lincoln's social scene is "not for everyone". What great PR.

This is an odd one. But at least he made it out of the portal and is on a P5 roster, most that enter the portal aren’t that fortunate.

Does he have to sit out a year because he transferred within the conference? Or did they do away with that rule?

Are you saying Lincoln isn't ghetto enough?

All true, but that has about 0% to die with Fleming leaving and ending up at Maryland.

Yeah, I don’t know his reasons... just a speculation as playing a factor.
He and Delancy got disciplined or something?

...and like most other Floridians we’ve recruited, they were quick to pull the “I quit” trigger.
So many quitters coming out of Florida these days.

We really need to evaluate that. Need to find guys that fit and will stick.

That’s because those kids switch high schools more frequently than switching girlfriends.

We don’t know their situations. This has been a tough year and they deserve a break. I support them regardless. They aren’t quitters as many other players have opted out of bowl games. I mean transferred.

I agree every situation is different, but...
by my count 5 of 6 Floridians left already from the 2020 class, and 3 of 4 left very quickly from 2018 class (plus 2 didn’t qualify academically).
That’s 2 of 12 total commits who have stayed with us from Florida.

Note: the 2019 class had zero from Florida and has suffered only 1 person leaving from that entire class so far (plus 1 non-qualifier).

I’m gonna say Florida has not been good to us. A kid like Fleming getting playing time, but quitting halfway into season and going to Maryland instead? I’ll question that level of commitment.

???????

Because a kid that left months ago has decided where to transfer to?
No...well that he stayed in conference possibly. I don’t know Flemings motives. I would say, judging from the number of transfers, that there are issues. I couldn’t say if those issues involve misleading kids, recruiting the wrong kids, or not meeting the expectations/needs of some of the out of state players, but there are issues for sure.

I hope the kid finds happiness and hopefully gave the staff feedback on why he left. The staff Can use that information to decipher for the next time.

Fleming was flaky as hell here, but he flashed some ability. I really think he could be a very good receiver someplace. It wasn't going to happen in Lincoln, but maybe if he falls in with the right group of teammates he could make it at Maryland.

I thought that guy was a can’t miss. Shows what I know. Hope it works out for him. I think Maryland is building something good. Taulia T is fun to watch.

Marcus was an impressive prospect. Clearly has the speed, but he looked like a football player and not just a track guy. If he just stays on the field, he can be an excellent college WR and a NFL prospect. I'd like a player like that on our team. Sorry it didn't work out.
Seems like he needs to mature and dedicate himself more to football. Maybe he'll apply himself when he reaches Maryland. Reading between the lines, it seems like he didn't want to follow some team rules regarding off-the-field conduct.
