I am not 100 percent in Trev's court but he seems to be taking a lot of heat for a situation he had nothing to do with. The basketball and football situations were both a quagmire when he arrived. Those insane extensions to very poor performing coaches were corporately given so there still has to be some bad characters floating around the program. It's sickening.
Maybe we're trying too hard or thinking too much. Astronomical salaries. Huge, expensive venue....

Good programs can come out of a coach and five guys, crackerbox gym, a basketball, and a guy to unlock the doors, turn on the lights, and sweep the floor.

We've got the funds but haven't been able to recognize the right coach. These programs around us having success did not follow our methodology of throwing around money. They didn't conduct expensive nationwide coaching searches.
Maybe we aren't seeing the forest for the trees.

For betting purposes, the under in the Iowa game is very tempting. Iowa players mentioned yesterday they can’t get used to the Wilson balls and the rims are extremely tight. Mix that with Auburn being 5th in 3-Pt defense, under 151.5 looks solid. Same rims as the Maryland game. Nantz just commented about it.
Iowa players, like Iowa fans, are unrivaled in excuse making.

UConn’s tourney to lose. Have them winning it so I’ll make a few hundred if they do. Just a friend bracket 20$ entry

Aztecs advance! Didn’t see that one coming, but Dutcher is a helluva coach. He will kick some butt in the PAC-12.

No #1 seeds left -- only twice since 1985 has there been a final 4 without a single #1 seed before this year

I wonder when the last time a single #1 seed failed to advance to the elite 8? - remarkable
I'm not sure it has ever happened

Technically Houston is not yet out, but will be soon. They mentioned that the championship game will consist of one of the following teams: SDS, Creighton, Princeton, KSU, or FAU. Unlikely group.

I can't imagine he stays there...there is going to be some musical chairs that start in about...12 hours
Maybe not, but SDSU a pretty sweet gig.

Even if he has to live in a shipping container in San Ysidro and ride the bus to work!

Aztecs are beasts on the boards. Jays will need to sack up and actually put a body on them, which is not their strength.

Yeah I see Kalkbrenner getting pushed around bigly. Kinda cool to see two brothers face off

I have Alabama winning it all. I am hoping like hell that none of the Texas teams make it to the Final Four. They threw the top 3 in one region though, Texas, aTm and Houston. So I am a Xavier, Iowa, Penn St, Indiana or whoever fan in that regional. Tickets for the final 4 will be out of my price range if one of those teams makes it in.
Texas smacked down Xavier and made you like it.

After last night; I’ll say Texas is the team to beat. Rice and Carr are incredible

When KSU and Creighton make the Elite 8, it further illustrates the abomination that is NU hoops. Neither of those schools has more resources than Nebraska (hell, the only team in the elite 8 with more money than NU is Texas). Neither is located near mountains or beaches. Neither has a facilities advantage over NU.

The mismanagement of the NU basketball program continues to be mind-boggling.

lol. k-state has a deep and rich basketball tradition - one of the best in hoops. tex winter, bob boozer, rolando blackman, lonnie kruger, mitch richmond, on and on. here are the only schools who have been to more elite eights than #KState:

Kentucky
North Carolina
Kansas
Duke
UCLA

Yeah, KSU hit the transfer portal jackpot, which is probably why Tang is gone after this one season.

Dude has been a HS coach and asst CBB forever, you have to think he will jump at a huge payday at a new school, I know I would.

Creighton in the Elite 8 led by a kid from Aurora, NE.

SDSU in the Elite 8 with a kid from Omaha that Tim Miles told to go to Prep School.

Gonzaga in the Elite 8 with a kid from Omaha that would rather come off the bench there than be the starting PG at Nebraska.

K-State in the Elite 8 led by a kid that our medical staff wouldn't clear to come here.
