Strews wants Purdue, that is his dream job. But he has to wait for Painter to leave, those guys are good friends. Staying at PSU would have been a huge mistake because they are going to suck hard next year. ND at least gets him back to his home state.
If Painter keeps losing to low seeds in the tourney he may get to Purdue sooner rather than later...

They are in a tough spot because he is from their coaching tree...

From what people have said, Painter hates NIL and wants to leave on his own terms, so maybe he will just up and retire one day soon.

That is not a good job, but they have had two coaches in a row that have done a nice job during the regular season.

South Bend is a pile of ****. I’m 40 mins away and only go there to use the airport.

Happy Valley is beautiful
I live an hour or so from State College. Still a beautiful campus and town. But I will say that it's looking a bit worse these days. Some large buildings have been constructed downtown that ruin the view. It'd be fine in an actual city but it doesn't fit well in a small town. Mostly just looks ugly and blocks out the sun.

There's also a casino that will be moving in soon. I'm not against gambling itself and not here to debate it. But I am concerned about the possible crime it will bring and students going even further in debt. If memory serves PSU is already the most expensive state school in the country. Not a stat to be proud of...

I was in state college during Covid. Stayed at a Hilton garden inn just north of campus. You couldn’t do **** at campus, everything was closed

Gameday! I know it's only a few days but to me it always feels like such a long wait between games besides the first and second rounds, lol

My picks for the day:
Heavy on Michigan State
Very light parlay on UCLA, FAU, Arkansas +1260

17 years ago to the day UCLA came back from 17 down to beat Gonzaga 😉

Cruel reminder that Adama Sanogo (UConn) and Keyontae Johnson (K-State) both almost came here. Can you imagine if we had landed these two guys?

Stop me if you've seen this movie before:

Izzo blubbers about a call and just like that, he gets two completely phantom and-one calls in the next 20 seconds. Absolutely zero contact on either play.

If Kansas State can be good at basketball it's not too much to ask for Nebraska to be average mixed in with the occasional above average season

Does Nebraska have better

Financials - yes
Facilities - yes
Fan base - yes

Athletic department - no

Trev doesn’t care and knows the fan base will show regardless of the crap product

KSU avg attendance - 9500
Neb - 13,000+ (After 3 of the worst years in program history)

Nebraska fans are perfectly content with the state of the basketball program - no reason for the athletic department to consider we could do better

Well, the self-proclaimed greatest conference in all of human history still has one team alive in the NIT.

Congrats to K-State. Made some clutch plays down the stretch.

K-State has a first-year head coach, and an entire roster of transfers, and is going to Elite 8 in year one.

Basketball programs can flip in a hurry with the right coach.

You mean with the right athletic director interested in finding the right coach rather than focusing on sacrificing seasons in order to spend down minuscule buyouts

Did anyone else find the KSU players to be kind of unlikeable? I had money on KSU so I am glad they won but man, they just seemed annoying.

By the way, Tang is gone, for sure. Right?

Crazy game. No more Big 10 teams. Congrats to KState and Averitas. Wouldn't mind seeing them take home the title

I love watching Nowell, but for God's sake stop taking those Chuckie Hepburn 40-footers!

The Texas job has to be his if he wants it, right? But what if Terry leads Texas to the Final Four?

How many years has it been since the bigten has had a team in the elite 8?
Purdue and Michigan State made it in 2019. Spartans went to the Final Four that year.

Big Ten Network had enough wood to build a housing development.

So it has been 4 years and counting since the conference who consistently is gifted the most ncaa bids each year has advanced a single team into the final eight

They are in the elite 8 and some are worried about how they looked or acted doing it. Oh Husker fans, you’ll never change
