Signed pro contracts so ineligible under the new SEC guidance. They’ve filed suit in Oktibbeha court for a 5th year of eligibility. Very good news. Hopefully they’ll have an injunction & be on the field at Minnesota.
Court injunction trumps SEC guidance.Signed pro contracts so ineligible under the new SEC guidance.
Not really. The SEC can withhold checks and deem you ineligible for championships so doubt schools will fight it. Not worth it over a couple of players.Court injunction trumps SEC guidance.
Yeah. I actually don’t want to trump the SEC on this one. Everything about this just makes me feel dirty.Court injunction trumps SEC guidance.
I hope this is the reason we are ineligible for championshipsNot really. The SEC can withhold checks and deem you ineligible for championships so doubt schools will fight it. Not worth it over a couple of players.
That might have changed. Will be interesting to see.Court injunction trumps SEC guidance.
That’s the MSU mentality.. everybody handing out bags of cash and we feel dirty over a hunday handshake.Yeah. I actually don’t want to trump the SEC on this one. Everything about this just makes me feel dirty.
Unless they take them to court in Oktibbeha County Miss. All bets are off. Courts have gone crazy over college football. Not really. The SEC can withhold checks and deem you ineligible for championships so doubt schools will fight it. Not worth it over a couple of players.
Yep. LSU will play all of their guys & nothing will happen. And we’ll back down & abandon our 2 players. It’s the Mississippi State way. That’s the MSU mentality.. everybody handing out bags of cash and we feel dirty over a hunday handshake.

I know I'm probably too pessimistic, but this season will be screwed up if and when we play SEC teams. This could be a cool way of having an undefeated season.**“The new SEC ban also grants conference commissioner Greg Sankey “full latitude” to enforce its new eligibility policy by punishing any league school that violates the ban with suspension from SEC competition, as well as potential fines and game forfeitures,…”
Y’all talk big and bad all you want but that sounds like a real easy way to get the season all screwed up over two players.
If they are filing suit now, they will probably name the SEC and possibly MSU as defendants. Would be difficult for the SEC to hammer MSU after the fact financially if they were subject to an injunction. Certainly would be easy to require them to forfeit games but if we have to forfeit 6 wins instead of keeping 3 wins, I’m fine with that trade off.“The new SEC ban also grants conference commissioner Greg Sankey “full latitude” to enforce its new eligibility policy by punishing any league school that violates the ban with suspension from SEC competition, as well as potential fines and game forfeitures,…”

FIFYYeah I don't see anyone fighting that. Big 10 already said coaches will miss half a season plus fines. The leagues need to do something. College football has been ruined by the courts, greed, and Lane Kiffen.
I doubt they can withhold checks. Not really. The SEC can withhold checks and deem you ineligible for championships so doubt schools will fight it. Not worth it over a couple of players.
I will be shocked if Kiffin doesn’t call the SEC’s bluffNot really. The SEC can withhold checks and deem you ineligible for championships so doubt schools will fight it. Not worth it over a couple of players.
Can't wait to hear from Kiffin on this. Rousse and Ausberry had to fly back to Baton Rouge last night for Skip Bertman's memorial. Wonder if they had a chat with Kiffin before returning to Birmingham?I will be shocked if Kiffin doesn’t call the SEC’s bluff
If we assume the judge is a blatant LSU supporter, that would put him in a bind. The players absolutely should demand whatever money they were promised. The funniest part is that even if LSU doesn’t play all these NFL guys I would bet they still have to pay them
We probably don't have to worry about that this year. Not really. The SEC can withhold checks and deem you ineligible for championships so doubt schools will fight it. Not worth it over a couple of players.
Possible that the SEC will in some way chip in, in some situations. Gotta this stuff cleared out.The funniest part is that even if LSU doesn’t play all these NFL guys I would bet they still have to pay them
Manning played in the IFL Indoor Pro league and participated in Atlanta Falcons camp. He is out for playing in the Pro League, this is non-negotiable. SEC even said they would not be allowed to play in SEC games either. That is a hard line NO for me.Don’t think they signed anythingI
