Seems like Madison St. Joe played public at one point? Seems I remember them playing at the Capitol City Classic in Jackson many years ago...I may be losing my mind though.Greenville St. Joe, Carroll, and Indianola all move up to 4A and are in the same district with Winston.
St. Al does not play Madison St. Joe but does play Cathedral and Greenville St. Joe.
Brookhaven shifts to the southeast Mississippi district with Wayne, Columbia, and Bowling Green (La).
There are 13 4A football playing schools.
It's like travel ball. You could have 20 teams sign up for tournaments but they bust you up into groups of 4, so half of them get 'rings'. Awful. When the largest classification has only 6 teams to compete for a state championship it really is meaningless.
Recruiting has become such commonplace in these schools that it’s taken a lot of interest away away from the kids that have gone to school for more than there high school years.

The entire thing needs to merge with MHSAA. Its a joke of a conference
You and me both and it could still be that way. A can be 8-man and AA and AAA can be the 11-man teams.
The moral is, if you're in a decent public school district, don't send your kids to private school.
Pulaski famously the team that does not punt, always goes for 2, and only onside kicks.
Assuming a return trip in 2022, that might be a worth drive up.
Not tracking how the one has to do with the other. If a kid can't play at a private school, he won't play at a public school. The moral is, if you're in a decent public school district, don't send your kids to private school.
If you're in a good public school district, your kid will generally have a good experience there. And it won't cost you $65,000 to put him through a private school that isn't any better (again if you're in a good district).
Your kid scored a 34. He/she would make any school better.concur my oldest went public, took AP classes, scored 34 on the ACT and got tons of scholarships. I doubt going to Jackson Prep would have served him much better.
