Wise coaching move having him go in and pick up a couple of no-consequence fouls at the end of 1H. I think Edey missed one and we needed every one.
Going forward, if we are facing another Big Ten team whose big men are abusing our backup bigs, do it again. Throw Luke in there, tell him to not worry about fouling, just beat the crap out of the other's team's big guy.
What an incredible thrill for Luke to play meaningful minutes in the first half of a game.

Couldn't be happier for Luke! If we play Purdue again (haven't looked at schedule) he should play if cliff is off the court and the monster is in. Agee and Dean just don't have the beef to even remotely slow him down.
I still don’t believe the refs watched the replay and saw nothing wrong with how Edey swings his elbows head high. If league doesn’t provide guidance, a player is going to get seriously hurt this year and it will be on the league and refs.

The crowd giving him a booming “Luuuuuuuke” when he checked into the game was a pretty great moment.
The crowd going crazy when Cliff checked back into the game after getting helped off the floor was also awesome.
Great to see Luke build a memory that will last a lifetime. Got PT in a meaningful spot toward the end of the first half a did a competent job -on par with Rieber and Agee...which is not all that effective. Oskar Palmquist also got to join in the fun. Great to see some big men from the end of the bench contibute. (For the record, I am still a 7man rotation proponent.)

Even with his short stint, he defended Williams better than anyone except Cliff.
I'm so glad for Luke. I thought it was great when RHJ mentioned him in the post-game radio interview.
Reiber if he was a heady player could have taken at least 2 charges on Williams. Eugene was a master at it and not sure why it’s not taught more

I’m usually anti-threads asking about walk on minutes, but it may be warranted here. Nathan looked a lot less afraid on the court than Reiber or Agee. Even on offense, he got to his spots in the sets more definitively and isn’t afraid to set a screen.
