His 2nd foul wasn’t even a foul. However, I agree… having a guy like him who can eat up 2-3 minutes and give fouls isn’t such a bad thing

It’s a bad thing why he played. Let’s not sugar coat our backup center problem.

How great is it for this kid! His first playing time in forever and he’s part of a victory over the number one team in the country. Just terrific
The crowd giving him a booming “Luuuuuuuke” when he checked into the game was a pretty great moment.

The crowd going crazy when Cliff checked back into the game after getting helped off the floor was also awesome.

Great to see Luke build a memory that will last a lifetime. Got PT in a meaningful spot toward the end of the first half a did a competent job -on par with Rieber and Agee...which is not all that effective. Oskar Palmquist also got to join in the fun. Great to see some big men from the end of the bench contibute. (For the record, I am still a 7man rotation proponent.)

Luke is actually so much bigger than Reiber and especially Agee I don't mind him coming in for a few minutes like that and would even like to see him do that when we play Illinois at home

Even with his short stint, he defended Williams better than anyone except Cliff.
Reiber if he was a heady player could have taken at least 2 charges on Williams. Eugene was a master at it and not sure why it’s not taught more

Very happy with Luke’s minutes. He fouled twice but Agee and Reiber were getting abused. Glad he was part of the victory.

I’m usually anti-threads asking about walk on minutes, but it may be warranted here. Nathan looked a lot less afraid on the court than Reiber or Agee. Even on offense, he got to his spots in the sets more definitively and isn’t afraid to set a screen.
