While Cliff is out can we just ask Luke to use his five fouls and hack the heck out of the opposing center when Myles needs a break?

He may even be good enough to do more than that. I think sometimes we forget these kids are playing against our starters every single day. Steel sharpens steel.

Outside of the Kofi's and Garza's tell me that Reiber and Nathan aren't benefitting from playing against the Monster and Big Cliff every day?

You foul a player not a team. The Lakers had a goo FT %. Shaq not so good.

Some people got mad when I said it before the season, but Luke Nathan isn’t going to sniff the court. He hasn’t gotten minutes over Douc or Reiber. He’s not playing unless there’s another two injuries

I asked in another thread, but didn't see an answer. Is Nathan the 6' 10" walk on that's been here a few years?

If cliff is out, Luke may see emergency minutes but Douc and Reiber will definitely see some time. Only in an emergency do we see Nathan

#freeluke - On a serious note we look far more talented than either Wisky or Neb.

Why he has not played in three years? Our mascot has been on the court more than him.

Maybe my memory sucks, but I swear I thought Luke played decently in a few games in mop-up duty and is more athletic than people think. Plus he now knows the system, so maybe he can contribute for a few minutes if needed.
This year? That was Reiber

Nathan is a walk on. If he was better than Duke or Reiber he would have taken their limited minutes in prior games. Its not football were some walk ons develop and wind up playing. Thats rare in basketball.

No, past years - I do know who Nathan is as I go to most games and never leave before the end, so I've seen him play several times.
Oh, yea you're right. He played a few minutes last year at the very end and didn't look like a complete stiff. I don't think we see Nathan, but if we do, the Purdue game with multiple 7 footers would be the time

Guys hes a walk on. Hes never going to see regular minutes unless its an emergency. Dadika only played as much as he did bc of said emergency and he was not very good while playing.

Please for f**** sake stop asking if Luke Nathan is going to play. If he ever plays serious minutes our season is likely down the toilet. Its big ten d1 basketball and were ranked 11th. This isn't a make a wish team

Reiber seems like a kid who should red shirt.

I’m guessing there is a greater than 50% chance the staff planned to redshirt him. With covid rules, might as well give him a few minutes against the lightweights. I actually thought he looked decent in his limited time. Aggressive, decent foul shooter.

Opportunity knocking for Duke. He needs to seize it. Don't need anything extraordinary just play good D, rebound and be ready for a pass if someone is doubled by his guy on a dribble drive. I don't think Reiber is ready especially for interior B1G play at this point. I think we see Oskar before him.

Are you saying Palmquist at the 5 since this is a thread about a 5? or just him in general? He is smaller than Reiber

Only way we’re seeing Luke Nathan this evening is if we’re winning by 20 or losing by 20.
