I don't mind you saying that the SEC can beat the Big Ten 59% of the time.

I think ultimately, the B1G cares more about ITS championship over the national championship. Kinda like how the SEC was once upon a time.
And when it becomes it's own league or whatever is going to happen, it'll remain that way. Unless of course the SEC and B1G come to learn to do this thing together to create a truly reputable superconference league. Then there will be a legit national championship, and both will compete for it by they point.
Not saying it's legit or stupid either way. But apparently it's own culture (academics and whatnot) is enough for most B1G teams to remain happy caring mostly just about their own.
