Pretty dam bad we are talking about how LC would have beaten us. I long for the days when we could say, “********, we are Kentucky. We ain’t losing to no mid major!”

Anyone see that Loyola player save the ball from out of bounds and then he stepped out. He came back in bounds and was the 1st to touch the ball. Is that legal?

We have better athletes they have better basketball players. Give me somebody who can put the ball in the hoop. If I hear Cal talk about wing spans next pre season I will scream. Our guys rarely even had their arms up playing D.

Yep it’s not hard hitting a 3 over someone who may be right in front of you but has their hands in their pockets. They did it all year but I guess that is considered acceptable perimeter defense

Porter Moser, HC for Loyola, his going to get some job offers. I think the coach's convention happens at the Final four site, where jobs are discussed.

KSU could have made a game of it if they played with this much urgency earlier.

I haven't kept up with this thread, but does anyone else really enjoy watching the Loyola team play?

Oddly enough, they look very similar to what I kind of expected from Cal's dribble drive offense with most every player able to drive to the rim.

I do think they will have a problem when they face a team with a dominant post game. I think they would struggle with Kansas or Duke... maybe even against Michigan.

They still beat us. Cain’t take that away from them. We did that. Since 2012,we always seem to have that one disastrous game.

I believe the rule states that if it is "deemed" a shot attempt you can retrieve it.

I agree about catching your own airball being legal, but I was replying to the player saving it inbounds to himself, which I don't think IS legal b/c you cannot "pass" to yourself.

Just think Loyola was a 22 foot 3 pointer at the buzzer miss away from losing in the 1st round (Or if Miami hit 2 FT's in the final seconds to take a 3 point lead then foul them so they couldn't hit the 3) and now in the Final 4.

Yep that sounds dodgy.

And Michigan (barring an FSU upset) about to make the Final Four after a miraculous buzzer beater. So we are going to have a team in the Finals that is EXTREMELY lucky to be there. I love the tournament and would never change it but I agree it does not determine the best team in a given season. Way too much luck involved

That's a confusing rule, but I think it is. What's illegal is intentionally going out of bounds, like they do along the baseline and then coming around and getting the ball passed to them. Something about using the out of bounds area to gain an advantage. But I think as long as you re-establish yourself inbounds, you can do that. But I could be wrong.
