Ouch! Didn't expect that type of response... I'll admit that Lou Holtz had a slight preference for Notre Dame, but if you put that aside, you HAVE to admit that he was a great analyst.

If you don't have time to read the entire article, Lou was a former college football analyst for ESPN as well as a former football coach. Really a great guy and great talent.

I've personally met Coach Holtz on a number of occasions. He is a good guy, was/is a great public speaker, full of positive energy and a lot of people have the wrong impression of him based on his press conferences and TV personality.

Doesn't really matter to me since I don't watch ESPN any more, but I think people are being a bit harsh. Yeah, he's a ND homer, but he seems like a good natured guy who's mildly entertaining. No real harm in that.
