Except everyone looks at what u start with and what u build to. So taking out his first year at new places is pretty understandable as opposed to taking out his final products.
I like many of your posts Dinglefritz. I will just disagree is all on this one. What I saw today is the heroic effort of about 6-8 guys that have really been carrying the team all year. Luckily for them it did not implode like it had the last 4-5 years and I’m happy they got their victory! AT LAST!
I understand there is not a lot of talent on the team. There are things that someone who is less talented can control and there are too many lazy, low effort, low football IQ, that do not give 100%, that do not believe, players on the roster. If football is not something they are 100% into, that is fine. They really need to move on.
Name the cancer? You can’t. Do we need more talent? Yes, but all of these kids have 100%.
Now, you're sounding silly. Scott Frost was here over 4 years. Let that sink in. He's got lot of rope.
I won’t name them by name but they are ALL on the starting O-line. The second team O-line as well because none of them can take the job of the mistake prone player in front of them! They have NO BUSINESS playing in the BIG-10! Might not be good enough for the MAC really.

I saw a whole team of guys playing as hard as they could. No quit. Lots of pucker by our coaching staff in the play calling and soft D in the second half but that’s not on the players. We were starting ALL backup linebackers a backup corner and a backup safety. Yeah they didn’t always make the plays but I saw a bunch of guys doing their best.

You’re in luck - No one has said he is a slam dunk hire.
He is an experienced and professional head coach that took over programs in various states of disarray and turned them into winners. Whether Temple or Baylor were in worse shape than NU is a discussion worth having - but it will be nice to have someone in charge that knows how to run a football team.
Talent doesn’t mean they are cancers. I can agree they aren’t good and coached horribly but never did I see them give up. Especially today
I knew the Rhule hire would be met with criticism. Consider this, Nebraska’s roster is already set up to be successful. They showed that they could physically compete with every team on their schedule except for Michigan and Oklahoma. This is not the same situation as taking over a Baylor program that lost a good chunk of its roster.
Take all of the close games that Nebraska has **** the bed in over the last 5 years, starting with Frost’s debut against Colorado. What do they have in common? Incompetent coaching and/or a finesse style of play. You might not agree with the hire, but Matt Rhule is a competent coach with a background in OL and DL coaching. It wouldn’t matter to me if Nebraska would have hired Bill O’Brien, Deion Sanders, Lance Leipold, Chris Kleiman, Matt Campbell, Jamey Chadwell, Lane Kiffin, or most other available coaches that are out there. There are a lot of competent coaches out there that are capable of getting this program to the level that Nebraska fans would like to see. Bottom line is that Scott Frost just trolled the University and the fan base over the last 5 years by collecting a large sum of money and not putting in the necessary work to be successful at the job that he was getting paid to do. He was the savior, the chosen one. He was the hire that everyone wanted (if you deny it, you lie it). Hiring a coach that is not the unanimous choice of the fan base might be the best hire.

I will say this about the offense today. Iowa's defense has been lights out this year. Only Michigan and Ohio State scored as much as the Husker offense did today. Michigan eked out 27 points and Ohio State much more. No other team scored that much this year on them. In fact, most games have been total clown shows with our QB running for his life most plays. Iowa's QB looked like that most of the day. The Huskers had more sacks against that great Iowa O-line than their really good defense had against the Huskers. Dudes played with heart today. If fact, the Huskers played like some very good Iowa teams today. Won the turnover battle and somehow did ok at the line of scrimmage.
That doesn’t make them a cancer. There’s some good dudes but we no doubt need to get better on the O line.
They're giving what they think is their 100%. But there's a lot more there for some of those guys if they were actually developed properly.
This is why he probably wins the coin toss between some of the other guys out there. We really need a coach whose strong at development.
But I wouldn’t go so far to say he doesn’t have question marks. He’s not Extremely charismatic. He’s a nice guy. I’m not saying that he’s not a good guy. But he’s not the type of dude that’s going to wow big talent on a visit.
But he is a great developer. And we really need that. His outcome at Nebraska may not come down to what he’s great at, its going to come down to what he hasn’t been great at. If he can keep Mickey I think it could work.
Honestly if it were me and it's between Rhule and Mickey Joseph. I'd save myself a few million a year and take my chances with Mickey Joseph.
I will be a fan no matter but unless it's a guy that has had proven success in the B1G or been a highly successful coach elsewhere (year in, year out top 25)it's going to be a gamble. I've seen just barely enough out of Coach Joseph to take my chances with him.
If it's not Mickey Joseph, I don't think we can hold the incoming coach to keeping anyone on staff. It'll be his call and it rightfully should be. If it is Mickey Joseph, I think we have seen enough to know that he will be doing his own house cleaning and we will have at least a new OC coming in next year and a couple new position coaches.
Looking forward to the future no matter who ends up coaching.

Luckily it’s not you. Search is over. Rhule will be announced new Coach. Mickey hopefully stays but he’s not ready to be a P5 head coach and Nebraska can’t afford to do another learn on the job hire nor should they ever have to.
Rhule is a proven P5 program builder and the very best Nebraska was going to be able to do. Most everyone nationally will view this as Nebraska punching up big time.
Yes because what Husker Nation needs is a guy who will keep us in the game and sometimes going in leading at the half, just to rip our hearts out in the 2nd half with terrible coaching decisions and poor clock management. We were up 24-0 and ended up winning 24-17. If their punt returner doesn’t muff that punt, we don’t score at all in the second half and probably lose on a late Iowa score.

If he is right and the regulation comes down hard on alt coins, it would be a big push for bitcoin.
Haven't talked about it on here, but there is a big fight going on, on which btc derivative is the real bitcoin.. Regular btc has been changed from the original formula, and each time that has happened, a fork has been created to keep the original protocol.
So you have bitcoin, bitcoin cash, and bitcoin sv. I've been a big BSV fan for some time, but the market hasn't been kind to either bitcoin cash or bsv, at least until now. Maybe that changes with this regulation?

If Matt Rhule is the next head coach he will not get much rope at all. He's being sold as a turnaround specialist, so if there is not a lot of turnaround, he will be out quickly.
Personally, I think he would take another job before it came to that, but I just don't see him as able to handle the pressure here and I hope all the rumors about him being the next HC are wrong.
You are picking a strange hill to die on. When you want to use stats, use them honestly or not at all. You don’t like Rhule, we get it. You realize he will be the next coach, right? You are going to be miserable for a few years.
He coached at the NFL level plus a power five and another FBS school plus played for one of the winningest power 5 programs in history. I think he can handle the pressure. You don’t jump right back in or coach for 25 years without being able to handle pressure. He is working for Trev Alberts not Al Davis or George Steinbrenner.
Wish him well but kind of "Meh". IF Mickey goes we will have many recruits go and will have transfers out. MIckey is the recruiting key. Rhule had good recruits at Baylor but is easy to recruit to Baylor as in the middle of Texas and a great school. Guess we shall see how it all plays out in about three or four years. No way any coach wins with the current roster of players minus Thompson, Palmer and a few others.
Not sure how I feel about this one. I definitely won't be a fan of the decision if Joseph isn't retained, solely because the players love him.
His improving records at both Temple and Baylor are certainly encouraging, though.

I’m a PSU guy, I’ve followed Rhules career pretty close. Some things you can expect is a tough team that will not beat itself. He is a faith guy that believes in the people around him. After Temple he was offered the Oregon job, but turned it down because he felt he was needed at Baylor.
Joe Paterno, and Tom Coughlin were influences on his coaching style. Toughness and fundamentals. In the NFL no QB=fired coach. I think it’s a great hire and look forward to meeting in the big 10 championship game.
