Depends if they're vaccinated. Terrible and heartbreaking if they did their part to be responsible and still caught it anyway. If, however, they selfishly let the team down by refusing vaccination, they're getting what they deserve and the coach is an idiot for putting them on the CWS roster, knowing the rules about testing.
It's safe. Look at the numbers.I don’t think you can call someone selfish for refusing a vaccine that is now showing that it’s safety profile isn’t all that safe.
And yes, I got the vaccine. And no, I definitely would not let my daughter get it.
to be completely abolished. Keeping kids from playing in a game they've dreamed about their whole life over testing positive for a virus with a 99.8% cure rate and massive vaccinations is complete and total ********. Worked their *** off all season and their whole careers to get to this moment then this. 17 the NCAA to hell and back. Keep in mind, 20,000 spectators can walk in and sit shoulder to shoulder yet the players, the reason for the game, are the ones to be singled out.
(Edit to add... If the rumors are true. But actually 17 the NCAA either way)
The science is out there. The vaccines are very effective at preventing infection too.Do we know that they weren’t vaccinated? I’m fairly certain that it’s been established several times that the vaccine effective rates aren’t about preventing the contraction of the virus. They’re about lessening the severity of the symptoms if/when one does contract covid
Unfortunately the more likely scenario is that the NCAA just cancels the rest of the tournament.

So here's my question.... Why have they not had the vaccine??? I don't care if your for it or against it, but you know this could happen. The coach knows, the AD knows.... Why are they not vaccinated? John Rham, some NBA player missing the playoffs.... I don't understand if your in sports, why you wouldn't have had it done by now when you know at any point in time without you could be shut down... Makes no sense... This is not to discuss pro or con of the thing if thats possible.
If you are OK with being vaccinated, then yes, you should be vaccinated by now. However, if you are like me and hesitant about it, especially for my children and my relatives who are college age, then no. It's a private choice. I know the arguments that it's not a private choice because it affects others around you, but it's a private choice because of potential health concerns.
You’re kidding right? They’re in the segment of population that is likely to suffer most from the vaccine:

EVEN IF THEY ARE VACCINATED, IT DOESN'T MEAN THEY WONT GET THE VIRUS!

That is only said by people with no better way to defend their actions. It is a selfish, stupid choice.
It's not selfish if one believes that one could possibly die from the vaccine.
You do know your chance of getting that complication is greater with COVID than with the shot, right? It can also be very sever with COVID. There were multiple college athletes that missed entire seasons with it. You are correct that you can still get it, but your chances are much less. You’re kidding right?
