Yea, Pretty much. So far they each have 1 championship with them. Cal has 1 championship banner dude; he's had classes that outranked Duke a lot more times. Something tells me the recruiting ranking doesn't really matter that much in the grand scheme. But you keep living in that false reality if it helps you cope.

Our staff was in for Bona just the other day. If he told them he’s coming, Duke/Lively probably want to get out in front of it. The flip side of that is that our staff knew Lively was going to Duke and gave Bona the green light on the visit.

Certainly. I mentioned that in my post. They've burned us for too many to list. If the opponent weren't Duke, we'd all feel better.

Branham is pretty solid and all the latest updates are leaning Duke. Supposedly some of Duke’s current commits have been told he’s coming to Duke. Bona will be a nice consolation prize and while not as talented of a NBA prospect he has a better motor and will probably put up similar stats in college

I can't see the coaching staff telling the new commits that in case of some of them leaking it through social media and ruining his moment but maybe.

Lively would either be catching lobs on the break or being the trailer who shoots the occasional 3 at the top of the key. Would fit his style of play perfectly imo

I'd love to see this, but it is a tough sell coming from Cal since he has never let his teams play that way. If you were a recruit would you believe Cal if he said we're going to be an up and down team?

He really has no choice since the team has only Oscar and Collins to back him up. Calipari’s teams use to put up plenty of points up until the last couple years. With him recruiting all of the guards/wings he will have to change the offense or gave Toppin at center

I’ve never seen Lively as part of this Kentucky class. If he is I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

But I’ve always felt the vision was Sharpe, Wallace, Livingston along with Clarke or another PG as “Four out” controlling the ball and setting the offensive agenda, with a guy like Bona as the “one in.”

I’ll be more concerned if Wallace and Bona go elsewhere. With Lively it feels like playing with house money.

BTW - I’ll say this preemptively. Anyone who starts whining and crying if Lively does go elsewhere after Cal signed the consensus #1 in the class and another potential Top Five is a fake troll or a moron.

I feel the same. Lively can step out and hit the 3, whereas I’m not sure that’s Bona’s game. Bona, however, seems to play with a higher motor. To me, you can’t go wrong either way. Hell, I would love to get them both!

I cannot wait until K is finally out of the picture for good. I think he will be behind the scenes for a few years, though, which means Scheyer will still be able to recruit.

I think Scheyer will be somewhat successful initially because of recruiting and the system, but I think eventually he will falter. It is extremely difficult to follow a legend.
