Football LIVE GAME THREAD: Rutgers vs. Penn State

[TGonzRU_rivals]

How do you miss that? *sigh*

[KnightFan]

Where was this team earlier in the year?

Chris Ash

another example of what a joke he was as a HC. Couldn’t get anything out of the same kids

[FrankZ_RU93]

Where was this team earlier in the year?

Not sure who this team is, but I like it

[bac2therac]

If Nunzio pulls the W today does it affect the Greg negotiations?

Look at the Greg haters gasping for air

[RU#1fan]

There are pieces to work with at LB DB WR and RB even with players in the transfer portal

This
Need OL and DL transfers coming in.

[DHajekRC84]

Its Rutgers. Same wayt you get a 5 yard penalty on that fg attempt last week to move back and put the zero back up on the board.

Always some thing. Not the way you finish and go in at the half. Wtf...

[mildone_rivals]

Assuming there are still negotiations? I’d say no, not at all.

But some combination of coaching and/or player mental toughness is really showing. Nunzio is doing great considering the situation.

[ScarletDave]

Still something missing. 250 yards of offense and 3 points. Not good

[BillyC80]

Ok, on the bright side that long drive from our own end zone kept PSU from getting the ball in good field position to end the half. So down 4 at the half and we get the ball to start the third quarter.

[Knightmoves]

bac, disappointed in your post. If Greg gets hired by RU, I will fully support him.

To a point.

Honestly it's a QB. Langan is playing tough but accuracy is bad. Couple drives stalled by missing throws. Overall happy with first half effort today though

[Barnaby&Neill]

Monkey’s. Paw.

[kapyoche]

Why did Rutgers get conservative at the end of the 2nd half? Makes no sense.
Had to throw in the end zone twice and then attempt the FG.

[Extra Point_rivals157299]

Pacheco for Heisman next year

[ScarletDave]

Well we just gave up. That was a fun season

[DHajekRC84]

ABC halftime comment...."what do you expect from Penn state. How do you get up for such a terrible team as Rutgers"

[koleszar]

Here comes the Illinois replay.

[robcac26]

Welp we punted instead of trying to get less than a yard, and in just one play the line of scrimmage is right back where we punted from.

EDIT: ...and two plays later the ball's in our end zone.

[Scarlet_Monster]

Now that's the tackling I've was accustomed to seeing under the Ash Regime.

[BillyC80]

At this stage why not go for it with 4th and inches? We are playing with house money.

[RU848789]

Nice while it lasted - how the hell are we giving up so much yardage to their friggin' QB?

[JQRU91]

Figures, as soon as I tune in, it starts to go bad. :Annoyed

[koleszar]

Figures, as soon as I tune in, it starts to go bad. :Annoyed

Then for the love of God, tune back out

[JQRU91]

Then for the love of God, tune back out

Hehe.

[GoodOl'Rutgers]

PSU resorts to form.. 2nd half.. too competitive a game?.. come out and hold your asses off and make giant holes (not teh QB run.. that was a nice effort and mistake son our part)

[RutgersRaRa]

That TD was on Nunzio. PSU hasn't stopped us all game and we punt on 4th and 1, in a game in which we have nothing to lose.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Facemask

[koleszar]

Another run on third and long? I guess we made the punt shorter.

[Knightmoves]

Another run on third and long?

What a sh*tty offense we have.

[ScarletDave]

Another run on third and long? I guess if there's such a thing we made the punt shorter.

Don’t you know Nunzio is the greatest OC in college football and since we scored 3 instead of 0 in a big ten game we should hire him as head coach

[scottydont]

Can not understand why we’re not just going for it on every fourth down. What do we have to lose?

[RU848789]

Has there been a friggin' penalty on PSU yet, apart from the little 5-yarders that aren't judgment calls?

[rutgersguy1_rivals]

Good ole roughing the passer...great to pull out of the bag of tricks when we need it.

[RU848789]

Prayers answered, lol...

[RutgersRaRa]

I wish we were throwing caution to the wind the way we're throwing our timeouts out there.

[ScarletDave]

Nunzio has learned from Ash that it’s acceptable to burn timeouts in the 3rd quarter because it’s too hard to call run up the middle. All ties to Ash’s running of the program need to be cut for us to have a chance again against any big ten coach

[nutfromSEC117]

Ejection for targeting. Have seen a lot less get a player ejected

[BillyC80]

Let’s get this first down. We’re in this game!

[rutgersguy1_rivals]

Great run by Langan.

[BillyC80]

Yes, first down. Keep it moving!
