Football LIVE GAME THREAD: Rutgers vs. Penn State

[ScarletCrimson]

Nice start

[BillyC80]

This is our bowl game — great comment by announcer.

[DHajekRC84]

******** call - Langan seemed over the line

Good knowing at least one ref likes us

Complaint? He was but we finally got a Freakin break lol.

[BillyC80]

That hole closed in a hurry.

[BillyC80]

Gotta hold em to three.

[ruready07]

As a Libra - Fairness means everything to me.

And a perfect touch of sarcasm sprinkled in

[Richie O]

[OJRutgers]

Just a step slow. Poor tackling.

Get it...I'm Oct. 3rd .

[SouthJerseyRU]

Well that was a fun 14:54 while it lasted.

[ruready07]

Get it...I'm Oct. 3rd .

Oct 2 now let’s smash pen st

[SouthJerseyRU]

I love the Dean Blandino segments always looks like Ricky Bobby doing an interview.

[RU Mike73]

Gotta love this team. Playin hard, playin with heart.

[BillyC80]

Langan slinging it today.

[RUScrew85]

Johnny showing off a little arm today?

[RU#1fan]

No Quit in this TEAM.

[rutgersguy1_rivals]

Is that against them or us...I kinda think it was on us. Come on...he put his hands on him the push...be smart

[RU206]

What’s Bo Melton thinking.

[RU#1fan]

Refs bias for the B1G elite teams is sickening.
How about what started it... the trashing talking right in front of the Ref.

[ScarletDave]

Jerry McGinn as head ref has been kicking our butt since the big east days. He is the Tim Higgins of football to RU. Of course they put him on us for the PSU game. In fact he probably signed up for this game himself

[SouthJerseyRU]

No Quit in this TEAM.

Agree, and I think that is reflective of Nunzio's coaching. We need to find a way to keep him on the next staff.

[rutgersguy1_rivals]

Nice sack!

[BillyC80]

Great D!

[RU848789]

gotta field that ******* punt; still nice defensive series...

[Mr. Gerbz_rivals]

Blitz on D. Coming after punt earlier....hmmmm

[RU848789]

Nice sack!

That's what she said - sorry, had to say it, lol...

[BillyC80]

Did our punt returner not realize the punts in that direction are wind aided?

[ScarletDave]

The bomb to Melton who tripped.
The blocked punt that they forgot to block.
The trick play throwing it to the under guy instead of Melton who was behind the secondary

These are the types of plays you need if you are trying to win against this team in this game. PSU is asleep after turkey dinner but they will wake up soon so we needed to get going early. We had a shot! Still proud of the fight but our chance to win is out the window at this point as PSU will score 35+ no matter what so we needed to get ahead early

[Rufaninga]

Agree, and I think that is reflective of Nunzio's coaching. We need to find a way to keep him on the next staff.

If Nunzio wins this game, I vote to make him the man in charge. Nunzio for president

[RUhasarrived]

It's time for Langan to pull a Terry Baker for 99 yards around end.

[RU848789]

You can tell PSU is looking past us and we're playing really hard. Look at Pacheco run - I'd hate to have to tackle that guy.

[rutgersguy1_rivals]

Powerful run by IP

[BillyC80]

Pacheco running hard, as usual.

[RU Mike73]

IP runs hard

[17Q66]

This team is fighting its *** off. Lotta guts.

[ScarletCrimson]

Not great to take a hit like that for Langan...

[BillyC80]

There is some talent to work with here.

[shields]

Need good punt.

[RUJMM78]

Third and seven and Rutgers runs the ball for no yardage.Play to win.Rutgers has nothing to lose.

[RU206]

Put a spy on the QB.
