3rd and 25 we run a draw play to Blackshear for a loss.

The wheels have come off this game. Keep the women and children away from the tv.

The combination of poor coaching and the lack of talent makes competing in the B1G a nightmare. The challenge in this game will be to score a point.

We don’t have a chance. Better to have something positive. Get points imo.
I agree we have no real chance but in that situation I'd prefer to go big or go home. We literally have nothing to lose and if we happened to get the TD, there would have been a momentum shift, however small. It's worth risking the nearly guaranteed 3 points.

I’m sorry, but it was a very poor call.

If you're a team that doesn't have a qb who rushes or scrambles, and you never do plays where your qb runs with the ball, you probably shouldn't give the ball to the qb on 4th down unless you have a great play that leaves half the field open for him, like Michigan did.

Shea isn’t a good thrower of the ball.

He’ll get exposed against a better defense.

There is 0 creativity on defense to create pressure. It's everyone run into your offensive lineman with a delayed blitz from the outside. Our defensive coaches think they can out talent them.

The chances of us converting there are very low imo.

Crap.
It’s really a poor desperate decision
It cost 3 points against their 21. Our O was showing signs of life and a TD gets us back in the game. We got a stop and got the ball right back.

So... yeah. Not really a bad decision in the context of this particular game. Probably will wind up being totally irrelevant.

If course it’s irrelevant. Very low probability of converting.

at least show we can score--that was a wasted long drive
If we were Ohio St, I'd agree with you and others about taking the points. I actually think we'll find a way to get on the board if Sitkowski can make it to the second half without getting killed.

Getting beat by bigger stronger better athletes is one thing...but 7 penalties already (1 not accepted) is the tell tale sign of a poor team.

That and not being able to adjust your offense to what Mich. Is doing.
