Lincolnton @ Mountain Heritage

Heritage are going to have to get pressure on the QB or we're beat our secondary isn't athletic enough to cover Lincolntons receivers the few times we've sent pressure he's thrown it incomplete, I get he's a threat to run but they're killing us on pass plays.

Great game. Lincolnton will be hard to beat with that offense but Shelby seems to really be clicking now and will want revenge

What a great game. For the most part we could not stop each other. Mountain. Heritage's, C. Jones is a punishing runner, and even Lincolnton's, J. Mayfield, would have to go after his ankles to tackle him. Their offensive line blocks well, too. Hats off to such a hard-nosed Cougars team. See you next year... We played two teams from the Western Highlands Conference and won both by a total of two points.
A big Congratulations to the Lincolnton Wolves on another hard fought victory. Our team has 1 point wins against Shelby, Hendersonville and now Mountain Heritage, which says so much for a squad that starts so many sophomores and juniors. Also props to our coaching staff. Great job.
Always thought it was very special to see out team playing on Thanksgiving week, and I consider it a blessing to get to see it again... Our next opponent is the West Davidson Dragons, who will be coming here. Wow.
Postscript: A big Congratulations to our friend Beamer on Hibriten's hard fought win over Cramer. Way to go y'all... Congrats to Hickory, Shelby and Maiden (especially AMD (amaidendevil), the best and most unrecognized/underappreciated play analyst in the Catawba Valley).
Also, a big congratulations to our friend Mr. Kidd, and his Eastern Randolph Wildcats, defeating Walkertown, by a score that got everybody's attention.
One other thing, feel really bad for our Burns friends. The Bulldogs put up a nasty fight but came up short. I know you're looking forward to next season. Much respect and all the best. You've been one of my favorite teams for a long time.

-AAW, they would win their next game against Lexington in the regionals, but would drop the title game to Tarboro in Chapel Hill. I saw that one. Both good teams.
-Speaking of Tarboro, they would beat us 39-36, in the title game two years later with Todd Gurley. Which you were probably there.
-Also, AAW, on the topic of season ending games and "sending us home"; in the spirit of being welcomed guests, this Friday, might be wise to steer away of season ending matchups in the following years: 2005, 2010, and 2015.
Oh, and notice two of those years end in 5's...So does this one. Hope we can make it three.

MT Heritage had a nice turf field/track. Outside of that…… It was hillbilly central…. I saw a lady put a big chew of tobacco in her mouth walking in the stadium. I was like this place is different lolz

Agree on all counts, Bushy. It was a very pretty setting. The most interesting announcer ever. I'm not sure about most of what he said, but others tell me he sounds like "mountain man", whomever that is.
Beneath the pleasant physical environment was a dark side, where sportsmanship apparently depends on the scoreboard.
24 was a beast, though "best player on the field" may be a matter of taste. His fam, on the other hand, could use some anger mgmt. And the cheap-shot kid that prances like Connor McGregor needs to find a new sport. I get it, that losing makes nobody happy, but dang.
Funny story, tho. The visitors bathroom contain about 5 urinals on a short wall, which is impressive. but they are mounted about 4 feet off the floor, requiring tiptoes, a stool, or velocity to stand back and arc your shot. End result was some wet floors, lol.
The new visitors stands are a nice addition, and the field improvements appear top-notch! The ladies at the gate were wonderful, as was the kind lady working the concession stand alone. As good a Chick-fil-A sandwich as Ive had at a game.
Glad to be "sent" home again, though.

Sounds like air raid is what hurt Heritage? Has always been their kryptonite.
Thanks KH30, but I’m not sure if anyone from Lincolnton can remember what an easy game is after playing Hendersonville and Mountain Heritage.
Great atmosphere and fun game last night. MH running game is tough to stop, like it was in ‘09. Clock management on last drive was iffy. If you guys had sped up the pace you might not have had to throw it. Hated to see some of the cheap shots but that’s where the game can go sometimes. Until we meet again. Go Wolves.

6’3”/6’4” 200 ish. They play different positions on Defense, but #24 is more involved on offense than south point used tanner.
#24 was fast…… fastest player we have seen all year. He ran away from us in the secondary. We couldn’t tackle him at all. He honestly didn’t run through us. He just got past us.
