They were truly "the greatest generation" most lived very humble lives with no concern for their own selves but what could they do for everyone else. My dad passed last July 12 at onlly 12 days shy of his 91 birthday his mind was clear the last morning, my mother has dementia and I keep her every saturday through monday and love her and feel for your loss.

Thoughts and prayers, kev, it is very difficult to lose a parent who was a great one as apparently your mom was to you. Loved my mom and dad dearly and both are now gone. I miss them all the time but they do live on in my memories of them.

My Mom passed away last night. She was a huge Wildcat fan, and just as importantly, the best Mom anyone could wish for.
My condolences on your loss. I know how it feels. Lost my Mom in 2005. My Dad's still with us tho. Turned 95 last week.

I lost my dad this past January, but I still have my mom.

Since his death, nothing much seems to matter........just kind of lost all interest

I think of him everyday

You can do it, you can make it. (I've been there.)

So sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom just over a year ago, and my Dad this March, so I know what you are going through. Will be praying for you and your family.

God bless you my BBN friend. Remember The Good Lord prepared your precious mother an incredible, wonderful home in Heaven. Your mom is there, healthier and more happy than she's ever been. Hope you and the rest of us can join her there one day. My prayers are with you.

Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss, @kev69. Lost my dad 25 years ago this year and still think about him every day. Hang in there...the pain will subside and you will always treasure the memories.

No, it won't be the same. I used to call my Mother every day and after she died, for weeks I was still picking up the phone to call her.

Sorry for your loss. Lost my dad after 'the shot' season. Stopped watching UK basketball for a long time. Now that I am older I enjoy watching the games knowing that he is the reason I am a UK fan.
