Taking a look at next year's schedule I see a rerun of the past two years.

Definite Wins - UMass, Howard
Heavy Underdog - Penn St., Michigan, Indiana, USC
Toss up games - Boston College - Should be a win but I just know that this will become a nail biter
Michigan St - Have the most confidence in this one but only because it's home
Maryland - On the road with their QB more experienced makes us underdogs or toss up at best
Northwestern - On the road probable loss
Wisconsin - See Northwestern
Nebraska - Toss up at home

We will be starting the year with a QB with zero college experience.
Looks like another 5-7, 6-6, 7-5 season

Of course who knows what will happen with the portal but these are my thoughts as of today.

4-8 with Greg at the helm!

Fortunately he will be Gone as we start the Zinn era

Don’t we still have the transfer running back that was projected to start before injury?

I'd rather wait and see who is retained and brought in but it's not looking good. Also think Duff is gone as we'll have a choice to spread the wealth or follow Sarah's model which is clearly risky. I think we retain Raymond but if not, oh boy as we'll need a strong running game next year and he's clearly our best pair of legs

Strong is going NFL for sure. But historically- the one thing Greg has been pretty good at is retaining his players. I think Duff and Raymond stay.

I'm not sure Duff and Raymond are draft eligible. But I'm sure, particularly for Duff, there will be big money via the portal

Strong will make more money in college than NFL. Just not at Rutgers.
The last pick in the 3rd round gets a signing bonus near $1 mil...and just a little over $5 mil total contract. I am thinking he would be mid 3rd round so I am not sure he would get much more than his signing bonus to stay in college. No way he does not go NFL. Why take the chance of an injury

Not sure it really matters who we retain if Greg doesn’t shake up the coaching staff. Both sides of the ball need to be upgraded. But not sure anyone will be willing to take that risk.

GS isn’t going anywhere after this year, there is no way RU is going to fund all that $$$. Expect numerous changes on the defensive staff. The key for next year is the NIL support raised to help sure up the many holes. I expect Raymond and Duff will be back. A key on offense will be replacing the losses on the interior of the OL, which has been a strength. Needless to say, they need help at DL, LB, DB and that all isn’t going to be filled by underclassmen on the roster now.

The best case scenario is that they sweep the non conference games and beat Michigan State, Maryland, and Northwestern to go 6-6.

The worst case scenario is we see the same wet toilet paper defense we saw this year and they go 0 for the B1G and lose to BC.

He was rated the 14th best WR coming into the season and his numbers aren't eyepopping. 49 rec./ 725 yds./ 5 TD's

30th in rec. per game
19th in yds. per game
Ranks tied for 75th in TD receptions

Now add in the injury history which flared up again this year and I don't think he helped his cause in NFL eyes. So, 3rd round is probably stretching it, in 2025 Felton was the last pick in the 3rd rd. 96 rec../1,124 yds./10 TD. It's not just you but we tend to over value our players. Now this is not to say how they'll do in the NFL, just how NFL GM's usually view it.

Monongai was a 7th round pick and he led the B1G in rushing.

This. Where is he going to find a good DC who actually wants to work for him? The other question is whether we've seen the extent of the KC offense or if he's being held back. The better DCs in the B1G have figured out this version of his offense.

Until Rutgers and the teams on our schedule get to the end of the spring, we don't know what rosters will look like. This has always been an exercise in futility but much more so in the NIL era.

I have had season tickets for over four decades. I am sad to say there is little reason to buy season tickets anymore unless a Mark Cuban comes along.
I'm getting there. But I'd like to see a year or two where the full weight of the Athletic Administration is behind NIL instead of Schiano doing it all on his own. The story of Hobbs not engaging in NIL initiatives and actively hindering those activities were not just rumors. The collectives met nothing but pushback from his regime and he devoted no resources to it on his end, wanting absolutely nothing to do with it.

I don’t know that there will be a better WR in CFB that people will assume might be available for the right price as Duff.

As much as I love Rutgers, both as a graduate and a fan for 40+ years, if I was his dad I would need a lot of convincing (considering AK is leaving) to pass up the chance to see what better opportunities are out there to showcase his talent.

Strong will make more money in college than NFL. Just not at Rutgers.
Staying in college means he is one year further away from the second NFL contract, which is where the big money is and is what these guys really worry about.

Sure, if they aren’t successful NFL players it would have been better to maximize the NIL years, but none of them think they are going to be unsuccessful.

It is all going to come down to what Strong runs. He isn’t thought of as overly fast, so if he gets into the 4.5’s at his size and production he is probably a day 2 pick. Slower, and he drops a few rounds.

At least we all agree that he will no be back at RU next year.
I'm not so sure Strong leaves. Duff and Raymond I'm confident will stay.
Besides, there's also next year at wr Black, Toure, plus freshmen Allen, Houston, Degraffenreidt, Thomas, and two excellent prospects in the 2026 class in Carter and Coke. We should be fine at wide receiver.
Better we should worry about both lines next year.

Great, we can develop more Wrs for other programs that are making a conference title run.

Umass Howrad

We get 1 out of NW, Wisc, Neb

Lose the rest

3-9

No QB D will not get competitive in 1 off season. Skill players most likely gone.

This looks like a bowl season to me. 3-0 ooc and 3 conference wins seem likely.

I can understand this- my thoughts are that any teams looking at him are going to be watching film. And his approach to catching a ball is NFL level already.
Monongai was a 7th round pick and he led the B1G in rushing.
KM is a running back - big difference
